The Naive Mr. Obama floats a McGovernish Agenda

As candidate Obama continues his march toward the Democrat nomination, ideas from the 1970s are proving to be alive and well! His national defense agenda appears eerily familiar. He’s spouting the very same dangerously left-wing "McGovernish" type rhetoric regarding how best to keep America safe that has been spewed by Liberals for at least the last 40 years. Nothing is more important than the defense of the country. Liberals can complain about the cost all they want, but what's the potential cost of not maintaining the highest state of military preparedness possible. Grandiose positions on issues like Social Security, Medicare and even Healthcare coverage would be inconsequential in the event of another massive terrorist attack. It would only take one major terrorist event to send a shockwave through the economy and the results would be catastrophic; the economy would plummet and unemployment would skyrocket. Terrorism has got to be the single most important issue in determining whom our next President should be. Obama says he plans to arbitrarily remove all our troops from Iraq, handing victory to the enemy (anyone still remember the bloody aftermath in Vietnam?), but he will send troops back if Al-Qaeda shows up. DUH? Hey, Obama, I could be wrong but I'm thinkin they're already there.  Of course by that time any inroads that have been gained with the Iraqi people will have evaporated.
He also says he plans to unilaterally keep weapons from outer space, even as Russia and China rush to do just the opposite and says he will not develop any new weapons systems, again, hoping I guess that Russia and China will do likewise. Ideas like these can only result in making America less secure not more and even more of a target than we already are. Just how naïve is this guy? The shear arrogance that someone would think that with 2 years of experience in the Senate would qualify you to lead this country is really quite amazing. You can’t use cliches and rhetoric as a basis for foreign policy.

The words of Obama

More words from Presidential Candidate Barack Obama.  Who seems to have a rather skewed view of things as well as, I guess, being under the impression that we still have segregated schools in this country.  He also likes to say he was a Professor who taught Constitution Law.  Judging by his stand on the issues I'd say he knows very little about the Consitution, and even less about the country he's trying to be elected President of.  I guess it's ok with Obama if you're a racist as long as your being racist toward whites.

"Reverend Wright and other African-Americans of his generation … came of age in the late fifties and early sixties, a time when segregation was still the law of the land."
"For the men and women of Reverend Wright’s generation, the memories of humiliation and doubt and fear have not gone away; nor has the anger and the bitterness of those years. That anger … occasionally … finds voice in the church on Sunday morning, in the pulpit and in the pews."
"Politicians routinely exploited fears of crime for their own electoral ends."  (Like Democrats in 2000 in Texas?)
"But it also means binding our particular grievances … to the larger aspirations of all Americans — the white woman struggling to break the glass ceiling, the white man whose been laid off, the immigrant trying to feed his family."  (Not sure where he's goin with this)
"This time we want to talk about how the lines in the Emergency Room are filled with whites and blacks and Hispanics who do not have health care …"
"Segregated schools were, and are, inferior schools; we still haven’t fixed them, fifty years after Brown v. Board of Education, and the inferior education they provided, then and now, helps explain the pervasive achievement gap between today’s black and white students."
"Had the reverend not retired, and had he not acknowledged that what he had said had deeply offended people and were
inappropriate and mischaracterized what I believe is the greatness  of this country, for all its flaws, then I wouldn't have felt
comfortable staying at the church," Obama  said.

              (Yeah, right)

"I was a constitutional law professor, which means unlike the current president I actually respect the Constitution."
For the record, Obama is a "Senior Lecturer (on leave of absence)" at the University of Chicago Law School.

"In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died -- an entire town destroyed,
" the Democratic presidential  candidate said in a speech to 500 people packed into a sweltering Richmond art studio for
              a fundraiser.

             The death toll was 12.

"I think we need to rethink and decriminalize our marijuana laws," says Mr. Obama

In 2003 while campaigning for the Senate he said, "I happen to be a proponent of single-payer universal healthcare
coverage. That’s what I’d like to see."  In a Presidential debate, Obama stated: "I never said that we should try to go
             ahead and get single-payer (healthcare)."

(Single-payer healthcare is a euphemism for socialized medicine.)

Your  potential Democrat nominee and possibly your next President in his own words.

Law of the Sea Treaty, bad for the United States

While cruising the net I stumbled across something I had not heard of before and wondered how many others had not either.  It's called the Law of the Sea Treaty, but what it should be called is, Another way to screw the United States Treaty.  It should came as no surpirse to anyone that the U.N. plays a major role in this aberration.   Whereas the U.S. has signed onto the Treaty it has not, at least not yet, been ratified.  Ratification must not be allowed to happen.  There are simply to many adverse effects for this country to allow that to happen.  The following are a few reasons why:

For one thing the treaty will undermine the sovereignty of the United States.  It creates what is called the International Seabed
Authority (ISA).  The Authority is supposed to make decisions by way of consensus, but as we all have seen form other examples of
UN consensus it rarely if ever works out to the benefit of the US

Yet another flaw is the way the provisions of the Treaty would allow non-US environmental group to affect domestic US environmental
polices through both US and international courts.  President Clinton, a strong supporter of the Treaty, called it "the greatest environmental
treaty of all time."   That in itself is reason to be against it.  If Clinton the America hater favors it, I don't.

Those pushing for ratification like to mention the the Treaty identifies legal navigation rights on, over and under straites.  This is totlally
unnecessary since these rights are not currently threatened by law or by any military capable of opposing  the US.   So it means absolutely
nothing.

The one big reaon not to ratify is that the Treaty gives a blank check to the financial irreponsible UN, which we all know gets the major
chunk of
its cash from the US.  Naturally the US would have absolutely no control how any of the money could be or would be used.

These are just a few of the reasons we cannot allow this Treaty to be ratified by this country, but there are more.  While President Bush has urged ratification, I have no Idea where John McCain stands on the issure or for that matter Obama or Clinton.  I can assume that Clinton and Obama would support ratification, but I'm not sure about McCain.

Obama the Socialist in his own words

Candidate Obama has said that President Bush’s political philosophy consists of giving tax breaks and encouraging "everyone to go buy your own health care, your own retirement and security, your own child care, your own schools, your own private security forces, your own roads, your own levees.
"It’s called the ownership society. In our past there has been another name for it; it’s called social Darwinism. Every man or woman for him or herself," he said.

But I could not disagree more!  Where in the Constitution does it say that it's the government's job to do any of these things

"Throughout my career, I've been a consistent and strong supporter of reproductive justice, and have consistently had a 100% pro-choice rating with Planned Parenthood and NARAL Pro-Choice America... I believe in and have supported common-sense solutions like increasing access to affordable birth control to help prevent unintended pregnancies... As President, I will improve access to affordable health care and work to ensure that our teens are getting the information and services they need to stay safe and healthy."
"Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old," he said. "I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby. I don't want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn't make sense to not give them information."

So I guess a President Obama would equate getting pregnant to having a disease.  Interesting, don't you think?

"Maybe there are a couple of holdouts in the White House that don't believe in climate change, but there are 10,000 scientists who believe that maybe we should do something about it."

He fails to mention the number of scientists who think it's a bunch of nonsense.

Everybody heard about a nice-sounding bill called the "Global Poverty Act," sponsored by socialist Barack Obama?   It's a little bill that would result  a global tax on the United States. The bill makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations.  "In 2000, the U.S. joined more than 180 countries at the United Nations Millennium Summit and vowed to reduce global poverty by 2015. We are halfway towards this deadline, and it is time the United States makes it a priority of our foreign policy to meet this goal and help those who are struggling day to day", said Mr. Obama.  "Eliminating global poverty remains one of the greatest challenges we face, with billions of people around the world forced to live on just dollars a day," said Senator Obama. "We can – and must – make it a priority of our foreign policy to commit to eliminating extreme poverty and ensuring every child has food, shelter, and clean drinking water.

I for one am not quite ready to turn the reins of power over to a devout socialist by voting for Barack Obama.  I don't believe the U.S. should be subservient to any country or so called governing body, i.e., the United Nations, which has shown itself time after time to be a failed institution.  Personally, I would say the greatest challenge we face is achieving victory over the terrorists who want to kill us.  Let's take care of them first, then we can worry about everybody elses poor.

More words of wisdom from Obama's Preacher

Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Barack Obam...

"White supremacy is not a legal problem. It is a spiritual problem, a psychological problem and a moral problem.  White supremacy controls the economic system in America, the healthcare system in America and the educational system in America. Hurricane Katrina has pulled the blinders off of all Americans and shown us what white supremacy means at its ugly core and what it has done to the fabric of these still-yet-to-be-United States ."

To believe that the white supremacy is an actual condition that exists in America today, or worse to be preaching such garbage is simply unconscionable.  There is literally no other place on the planet where anyone of any color can excell to become anything he or she chooses to be.  We are all responsible for the choices we all make in our life.  And to preach that's it's always someone elses fault does nothing for the giver or receiver of such bad advice.  Teaching someone to use their skin color as an excuse for the bad things that happen in their life, or for missed opportunites,  is doing that person a great disservice.  To have such garbage coming from a supposed man of the cloth, whose words are given more credence is beneath contempt.  Taking a closer look at New Orleans and the events both leading up to and in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, reveals that most if not all of the problems incurred either resulted from poor leadership (mostly Democrat and African-American) or outright corruption (mostly Democrat and African-American).  Money sent from Washington for years to be spent on levee reenforcement was spent on more social programs.   The sheer ineptitude of the mayor of that great city should be what stands out in that whole fiasco.  A mayor re-elected by African-Americans.  A mayor who said he wanted to be mayor of a chocolate city.
So if this is the man that Barack Obama can listen to for 20 years then I have to think he agrees with what this man is saying. I know if I was a member of a church where Sunday after Sunday the preacher was getting up there on the pulpit and preaching something I did not believe, or even agree with, I'd be looking for another  preacher!

Obvious whose side the media is on

As we watch the presidential candidates jockey for position, it’s painfully obvious which side of the political spectrum our supposed neutral press comes down on. Also painfully obvious is the unbelievable ignorance increasingly on display by the average voter. An ignorance the press is more than eager to take full advantage of. It’s unfortunate that too many people continue to blindly accept, as truth, the mind numbing drivel spewed daily by a blatantly bias new media. The sole goal of this propaganda disguised as "news" is to tilt public opinion in the Democrats favor. People need to recognize distortions and outright lies by the press for exactly what they are, a means to sway public opinion. The mainstream media’s objective is not to present facts, but to create the "proper" perceptions of both the facts and the candidates.  When the voter can no longer trust the media outlets that they have come to rely on for the facts, the media no longer serves any useful purpose.  They've become nothing more than a propaganda machine for the Democrats leaving the average voter to operate in the blind.

It seems that no matter what the issue, be it the War in Iraq, immigration or health care reform, Democrats have little trouble finding willing allies in the press eager to convince the gullible and the simple minded that the Democrat way is the only way. It’s because of a shared hatred of all things American, that when Democrats stake out a position, no matter how outrageous, the job of the media becomes one of promoting it and defending it, while slandering its detractors in the process.  Maybe that's why readership of most of the leading daily newspapers as well as viewership of the nightly news shows continues to drop.  People are starving for useful information without the obvious bias of those providing the news.

What we could all be in for

Presenting the 2008 Democrat Agenda that will be forced down our throats come either a Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama victory in November.  Yov've been warned:

  • Increased domestic spending on entitlement programs
  • Reduced Military spending
  • Abortion on demand (at any time during the pregnancy, and at tax payer expense no less!)
  • Abortions for our "kids" (without parental notification)
  • Condoms in our public schools
  • Higher taxes, MUCH HIGHER!
  • Socialized medicine (the rationing of medical care) Gee, going to the doctor would be like a trip to the DMV.
  • Terrorism treated as a law enforcement issue (equals terrorist bombings here at home)
  • An abrupt end to The War on Terror (i.e., surrender, cut and run..)
  • Appointment of more Liberal Activist Judges
  • Gay marriage legalization
  • Gun Control legislation
  • Reduced personal property rights (increased eminent domain abuses)
  • Allowing felons and illegal aliens the right to vote
  • Return of the Fairness Doctrine (gutting alternative media sources)
  • A policy of pacifism, appeasement and containment toward tyrannical governments like Iran, North Korea, Syria and other enemies of America
  • Putting the rights of terrorists above the those of the rest of us
  • Crippling our Intelligence gathering Agencies
  • More environmental extremism (bugs before people)
  • No new oil refineries, or domestic oil exploration (higher gas prices)
  • Bogus alternative fuel legislation that does nothing but increase the government’s take on each gallon of gas
  • No new Nuclear Power Plants allowed (higher electric bills)
  • Everything else that’s either Anti-God or Anti-American

This "wishlist" demonstrates exactly what the Democrats really stand for and represents their idea of "family" values and what they think is best for America. It’s their agenda for the rest of us if we’re stupid enough to elect them!  The sane ones of us out there will need to mobilize all the support we can for John McCain if we are to have any hope of being able to save this country for our children  Because no matter what you may think of him he is infinitely better than either of the possible Democrat candidates.

Florida Legislature apologizes for slavery

I know I'll be able to sleep much better at night knowing that the Florida Legislature has finally and officially apologized for Florida's history of slavery expressing a " profound regret for the shameful chapter in this state's history."  Is this ridiculous or what?  Who in their right mind would ever say that slavery was a good thing and was a part of our history that we should all be proud of in the first place?  Kind of makes you wonder if the next step in the process might be the paying of reparations.  Look, I never owned slaves, none of my ancestors ever owned slaves, they weren't even here then.  So as far as I'm concerned, I don't need anybody apologizing for me for something neither I or my family ever played a part in.  This may come as a big surprise to some but slavery was not something unique to this country or for that matter unique to African-Americans as slaves.  And, comparatively speaking, if one takes the time to look, slavery lasted a relatively short period of time in this country.  In fact, now don't tell anyone this it's a secret, but there were places where it went on for thousands of years and, even more shocking, it still goes on in many places to this very day.  Can you believe it?  Let's be serious for a minute, there were countries where the practice of slavery was simply part of the culture.  However, where else but in America did you have a war to end it.  A war that cost 600,000 lives.  No where, so give me a break.  I'm not trying to make excuses for something as terrible as owning another human being, I'm just trying to put things in the proper perspective.  So before we go around apologizing for something that none of us today had any control over, it might be a little more important to see if we can take care of at least some of the issues we do have control over.

Sen. Nelson (D): Abolish Electoral College

It would seem that one of our illustrious Senators from Florida, crackpot Bill Nelson, the truly ugly American, is attempting to sell one more plan to get rid of the Electoral College.  This is nothing more than one more Democratic scheme designed to help tip presidential elections consistently in their favor.  If elections could only be left up to those super smart Blue State Liberals, and their minions in the Northeast and on the West Coast it would be all the better for Democrats.  They seem to working quite hard at putting their perfect little coalition together.  You know: Blue State Liberals +convicted felons + illegals = Democrat victories every time.  It's really quite sad that they have to assemble such a self-absorbed, corrput and morally bankrupt group just to win elections.  However, if we allow them to arbitrarily change the way presidential elections are to be conducted we are allowing ourselves to be put in a very precarious position.  Those of us who live in the middle of the country (flyover country) will have little or no say in what is supposed to be a representative style government.  We may get a few scraps every now and then tossed our way in an attempt to pacify us, but for the most part we'll be living in what amounts to a hostile, foreign country.  And you'll notice that with the Democrats it's never really about the country, it's all about power, either trying to get it back or trying to hold on to it at all costs.  But, they claim, they do all in the name of Democracy and, even more laughable, for the People.  We need to be very weary of these self proclaimed defenders of democracy, it's not us that they're looking out for or even concerned about, it's them and their endless pursuit to see just how much power they can hold over the rest of us!

Hillary: Just too Liberal

What's obvious to anyone taking an honest look, is that this country
simply cannot afford Hillary Clinton as president. Whether it's her
willingness to negotiate with terrorist nations, her radical ideas on
socializing medicine, her proposed taxpayer funded schemes to "fix"
society's ills, her lack of any real leadership experience or her reckless
disregard of national security issues, she is just too Liberal. Simply
put, the consequences of a co-presidency redo would be both long
lasting and devastating. And, while our Republican candidate may
not be perfect, he will be an infinitely better choice.

Hillary is seriously flawed in that, like her husband before her, she
can't hide her contempt for the military. Strange sentiment coming
from a potential Commander in Chief, whose single most important
job would be protecting the country from foreign attack. And with
protecting the country already so low on her list of priorities, below
far more pressing issues like gay marriage, gun control, all types of
abortions, or achieving amnesty for illegal aliens, combating terrorism
is where Hillary would be a catastrophic failure. The bottom line here
is that Hillary just does not scare the bad guys. McCain does. Talking
doesn't work. Responding "decisively" with overwhelming military
force does.

Good Books

Anyone who hasn't read Liberal Fascism by Jonah Goldberg should, it's a great book.  As are Faith, Reason and the War against Jihadism by George Weigel and World War IV by Norman Podhoretz.

Candidate has no Substance

Like sheep being led to slaughter it would seem that all one needs
in order to impress the gullible and uninformed voters among us is
to be a good lookin, smooth talkin, GQ cover kinda guy. You'd be
hard pressed to find anyone who can point to a single significant
accomplishment of his, yet Obama's supporters are convinced that
the most Liberal member of the Senate would make a good President.
Here is a man with zero substance, with nothing more than a brilliant
knack for public speaking. He also happens to be one of the more
vocal members of the "useful idiots" in Congress who continually
attempt to advance a pacifist agenda while doing their best to infect
the public with their defeatist attitude tregarding the gravest threat
facing this country today, TERRORISM! If he does become
President, the fate of the country will rest in the hands of someone
totally untested and without any leadership or foreign policy
experience. A mediocre Senator does not a good President make,
it only makes for being a mediocre President.

Where or where has Rev. Wright gone?

It would seem that the esteemed Rev. Wright has fallen off the planet.  I know the press, who are in the tank for Obama, would like us all to forget about the racist garbage that has spewed from this man of the cloth, but we had better not.  He's a potential guest for the Lincoln bedroom in a future Obama Whitehouse.  Ahh, now there'd be a touch of irony.  A bigot sleeping in the room named after the freer of slaves.  But, I guess that would just be another reason for Mrs. Obama to finally be proud to be an American.  I hear excuses for this guy until I want to puke.  I fail to see how anyone can justify having the kids, at a time when basic opinions are being formed,  in the pews with a guy like this preaching nothing but pure racial hatred.  It's sad to say but the the only racist people I see in my every day life are blacks.  Now I can see why.  If this is what's going on in black churches in America it just becomes a perpetual, vicious circle.  It has always struck me as odd how these people can all go to church on Sunday and be flipping you off and calling you names on Monday.  Rev. Wright explains alot.
And is it just me or can an anyone possibly imagine the firestorm if it was John McCain's minister who was going off like this guy about blacks?  It would be 24/7 news coverage in every newspaper and on every news show in the country.    We would no longer be talking about candidate McCain.  It would be who are the Republicans going to elect now?

What's happening to America?

What’s happening to America? Somehow we’ve managed to go from the greatest generation to the generation of sniveling wimps constantly waiting for our next government handout. And cheerfully leading us in this downward spiral with all their rhetoric about "change" is that party of the little guy, the Democrats. But just what kind of change are they advocating? If their idea of change is to hand victory to the terrorists, cripple our health care system, raise taxes or to inflict any number of other examples of superior Liberal thinking on the country, than I’d say their idea of change and not necessarily a good one. But, since they regard most of us common folk as being ignorant and simply not able to be trusted to do the right thing, we need them to enlighten us.

Democrats continue to claim to be the moral authority for America. But look at the stalwart men of character who are the icons of today’s Democrat Party. You have an accused rapist, a man whom you could say got away with murder and a known Klansman. Can a party led by such corrupt and dishonest men as these truly have America’s best interests at heart?

Qualities needed by next President

The essential qualities our next President "must" possess are the ability and the willingness to lead us in the war against terror. Democrats who propose costly new entitlement programs while at the same time criticizing what is being spent on national security reveal their rather skewed priorities and certainly don’t demonstrate the type of leadership needed in these uncertain times. Nothing is more important than the defense of the country, yet Democrats only whine about the cost. Obviously the potential cost to our economy and in lives lost from another terrorist attack are acceptable risks for Democrats. How’s it feel to be regarded as expendable for the sake of expanding the welfare state?

And how can we expect a Democrat President to lead us in a war against terror when both Democrat candidates refuse to acknowledge one even exists? They would have us simply sit on our hands, as did the last Democrat President, every time we’re attacked. Instead, we must take every opportunity and use every means at our disposal to forcefully defend ourselves, anything less will be perceived as just the kind of weakness that can only invite future attacks. Just as failure cannot be an option, neither can the failed Democrat policies of appeasement and retaliation in the form of empty threats. Such policies are the surest way back to when only one side was doing all the fighting. THE WRONG SIDE!
