From the very first moment that “The Great Obama” declared his candidacy for President and became the darling of the media almost overnight, there has been, on the part of the “punks” of the Democrat Party, a feeling of cocky invincibility, almost a giddiness about the upcoming election. Elitist Democrats continue to exhibit an arrogant confidence, certain they are on the verge of a historic win. The scary fact of the matter is that there does exist a definite possibility of this becoming a reality, meaning that the many of us of the more conservative persuasion, might now be experiencing a serious sense of dread as well as an increased feeling of impending doom. Because oddly enough it is at this point in time that we’re the ones looking down the business end of what’s an equivalent to that famous 44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world.
Having said that though, I must admit that while I find it more than a little odd that with an approval rating that is the dumper, they remain so upbeat about achieving a huge victory in this election. Together with their obvious and total disregard for working class Americans being burdened with higher and higher prices for gas and groceries, I don’t understand the Democrats’ optimism other than they think they can continue to successfully fool the American voter. Never under estimate the ignorance of the average American voter. Now, I know history appears to be on the Democrats’ side, but their constant mantra about being for the little guy is getting harder and harder to swallow. For anyone willing to see that myth for exactly what it is, it simply doesn’t ring true anymore. The reason being, that since being handed back control of both houses of Congress, Democrats have done absolutely nothing to reduce the plight of those whom they so ardently profess to be the defenders of, essentially throwing them under the bus, sacrificing them at the alter of wacky environmentalism. They continue to remain perfectly content with the high fuel prices and their impact on other areas of our economy. It’s just not very high on their list of priorities.
I do have to wonder how many of those folks who today are saying that no matter what they still plan to vote Democrat will feel the same way after, say, their first purchase of home heating oil this winter. And if they do still vote of those all-caring, so sympathetic Democrats, will they still be happy with their choice after the election when fuel prices go even higher. Look, Obama has made more than a few nonsensical statements about what he sees as the solution for the current price of gas; checking your tire pressure and getting tune-ups. That’s the philosophy that can expected form today’s Democrat Party. And his much touted plan for putting a million electric cars on the road in ten years at a time when we have yet to achieve the required battery technology combined with what most certainly will be a very prohibitive price tag makes this whole plan of his nothing more than another piece of Obama propaganda and more Democrat political rhetoric. On top of everything else, experts in the field have said on several occasions, that realistically speaking, the chances of finding solutions to both of these problems, battery life and cost, at least at this point in time, is nothing more than wishful thinking, sort of a pipe dream so to speak.
To be perfectly honest, the Democrats have not initiated, formulated, or even thought about a single solitary idea, plan or policy that will assist in producing one more drop of oil or lower the price of gas by one single penny. And, they have no intention of doing so, before the election or after. And yet, these punks are feelin oh so lucky!
