Well my friends, our moment of truth is rapidly approaching and this, the most pivotal election in my voting lifetime is now just around the corner. And the fact that so many people either fail to see or simply choose not to see that the very survival of democracy in America is hanging in the balance is really quite frightening, at least to me. That being said, are we as conservatives, any closer to victory today than we were, say, back when it became official who the candidates in this race were going to be? I wish I could answer that question with a resounding YES, but I can’t quite do that because at this point there still remains far too many uncertainties to do that. And even with all the potentially dire consequences regarding the outcome of this election I cannot determine with any degree of certainty that the American people will in the end come to the right decision. The question still remains, what will the voters decide, will they agree with Obama, a man who wants to "transform" America, will they agree with him that democracy has had its chance and that now the time has come to try something new and different? Or, will enough voters come to their senses and stand with John McCain in saying that America IS a great country whose greatest days lie ahead of us in the future? One must recognize that in Obama you have a man so obviously lacking any of the required core values or beliefs one expects to see in a presidential candidate. Other than, of course, his very firm conviction regarding his belief that Socialism creates the ever-elusive utopia and a willingness to say whatever is necessary and/or politically expedient to get the American people to buy into his blatantly empty rhetoric. Everything he says has already been subjected to the filter of political expediency before someone else has written it so that he can then read it from an ever-present teleprompter. He continually tries to disguise himself as something that he is not through the use of twisted rhetoric and the parsing of words, or in many instances, just outright lies without ever once being challenged by what is supposed to be our watchdog media. A media that is basically throwing the country under the bus for the sole purpose of making sure Obama wins the election.

The bottom line here is this, what this election will essentially do is that it will show us exactly where our heart is, and where we are as a people and a nation. Will we want to follow the European model of failed Socialism with its high unemployment and stagnant economies advocated by Obama. Or, will we join with John McCain and choose to remain faithful to the tried and true system of American free enterprise that has not only resulted in the highest standard of living in the world, but has become something both envied but also something to be resented throughout the world.

Make no mistake about it, the economic polices being promised by Obama will do nothing but accelerate our current economic problems to where they will be worse than those inflected upon us by the former economic genius Jimmy Carter. By the time Obama is finished, our economy will be broke and left lying in smoldering ruins. More Liberal Democrat and Socialist policies are not what is needed today despite all the warm and fuzzy rhetoric. If one were to be willing to take an honest look, you would see that it is those very same policies that have created the very situation, regarding both our economy and our ever-increasing energy dependency, that we currently find ourselves in. Higher taxes and more government involvement will do nothing but grow the size of government and are not the needed remedy to be prescribed for either fixing the economy or curing our growing energy dependency. Lower taxes, less government regulations and drilling here at home are what is needed to fix the two most pressing problems we face today. Needless to say, these are definitely not ideas typically favored by Democrat majorities in Congress, and are most certainly not supported by a socialist candidate such as Obama. But what will the American people decide? That is the $64,000 question. Well after Obama’s tax increases kick in it’s probably more like the $40,000 question, if that!

Imagine, just for a moment, Obama teamed up with a filibuster proof Democrat Senate. Together they would form a Socialist juggernaut that would be virtually unstoppable and they would also be in the position to cement into place a permanent ruling Democrat majority creating a stranglehold on our government that will be impossible to breakup for generations. Just think of it, one party in complete control of our government for the foreseeable future. If that doesn’t make your blood run cold, nothing will.

People need to pay attention in this last week before the election, because what they may be hearing is the death knell for American democracy. Everything, and I do mean everything, comes down to this election. Will the people make the right choice, or will they fall prey to the pretty rhetoric? Will they choose to become, basically part of Europe, or will they choose the continuing down the path of rugged American individualism? Depending on the decision Americans make the consequences may end up being something we will have to live with for some time. Right now it ain’t lookin too good for the good guys, or should I say the good guy and gal. This is without question the most consequential election in my voting lifetime. And personally I do not trust that the American people will in the end make the right choice. I fear very much an Obama victory in this election, not just for myself, but for my daughter. What kind of twisted America will Obama create for her? I may have many more sleepless nights if McCain cannot pull this thing off.

 

And to add insult to injury we have a Democrat running for president while possessing numerous reasons for disqualification from even being a viable candidate to seek the job who is in the position of actually winning. GO FIGURE!! This man has a very troubling laundry list of concerns consisting of everything from past associations, to a downright dangerous foreign policy agenda, a policy for the economy that will leave it in virtual ruin, environmental policies that will hit every American family with higher utility bills, tax policies that will rob a majority of Americans of even more of their disposable income as well as some highly suspicious and questionable campaign contributions. There is still much, much more that we still do not know about this man who would be President, and yet a press so eager to dig up dirt on Governor Sarah Palin, is foregoing the potential treasure trove hiding in the background of one Barack Hussein Obama. How is it then that this is the man that a majority of Americans want to vote for as their next president? Whoops, I think I’ve answered my own question, which would of course be because of the media's bias and the stupidity of the people.

So you can see the importance of a John McCain victory on Election Day, at least we would have the White House to offset, hopefully, the loony left controlled Congress. If not then all will certainly be lost. Just look back at your history, in both 1933 and 1965 liberal majorities then in place imposed vast expansions of government that have remained in place to this day. And the current financial panic may be just what the doctor ordered and may be all that today’s left needs to return to those golden days of welfare-state liberalism. Is that what we as Americans really want. Or, is that what we as Americans have become, nothing more than European-like in our craving of ever bigger government doing more and more for us while driving our society ever deeper into the toilet? It is absolutely critical to the very survival of our country that Obama be defeated. If we want this country to resemble anything even close to the Founder’s original design, Socialism cannot be permitted to prevail. I’m sure The Founders of this great republic must be spinning in the graves.

Vote McCain/Palin and save the country

Or, as we like to call them Dr. Reid, Dr. Pelosi and Dr. Obama. Can you possibly imagine what the shape of a government that would be controlled by the likes of those kings of slapstick comedy?  But unfortunately I’m talking about our present day three stooges.  Although to use such a comparison I’m probably slandering the stooges a lot of us watched in our youth. Has this country gone completely loopy, have we gotten to the point that we find ourselves ready to consider that it’s just such a great idea to have a blatant Socialist sitting in the Oval Office? And on top of that, that it’s even a better idea to elected a filibuster proof Congress to rubber stamp every insane liberal policy that comes out of the very same office. If this does in fact come to pass, which I hope with every fiber in my body that it does not, there is an excellent chance that what lies ahead for us will be shrouded in a great deal of uncertainty. Like Slow Joe Biden has said himself, this new inexperienced president will be tested and tested quickly and will most assuredly be shown that he is not up to the challenge. The potential dangers that will very likely be self-inflicted because of that very same lack of experience are frightening even to consider. Because the very foundation of Obama’s campaign is based in nothing more than the sand of pure falsehoods, i.e., LIES, we are about to venture into virgin territory with a novice at the helm, along with his dimwit sidekick. The fact is that these stooges are going to raise taxes, possibly allow or even encourage, another terrorist attack most likely through Obama's own dangerous blunders or through normal stooge pacificst means, implement their plan to take from those who do so that they can give to those who don’t and on and on and on.  Do we really want the stooges in control?

While the original stooges were, and still are, fun to watch, today’s version are of a much more dangerous variety. The potential damage that they will be able to inflict upon this country may last for decades. And yet a lot of the people I work with on a daily basis think its all some kind of joke. They just don’t seem to get it, that by the time these people are through what’s left of this country’s economy it will be nothing more than smoldering ruins where the only winners will be the George Soros’ of the world along with every other leftist wing nut who was in the right place to assist in the gang-rape of our economy while the rest of us are left to salvage whatever we can from what little is left of our meager retirements. Now that’s a pretty sight. So hey, you want to send your kids to college, take the retirement cruise to Alaska you’ve waited a lifetime for, then don’t vote for the stooges. Do that and the only thing you’re going to see of Alaska is what you see on the Discovery Channel and your kids will end up working in WalMart.

Look, any body who doesn’t think this election is all about race has been living under a rock. And what do you suppose would happen if Fox News came out and was promoting the fact that 90-95 percent of White voters were planning on voting for John McCain, simply because he is the white candidate? I think we all know what the outcome of that little scenario would be. Does the word "racist" mean anything to anybody? The question is, why is the outcome not the same when all of the major news media is out there trumpeting the fact that 90-95 percent of Black voters are going to vote for Obama? Isn’t racism, racism? Why, where’s the outrage? Yes, I know, we all know the answer, racism is different when it’s the black population that is taking part in it. I guess that was more of a rhetorical question anyway.

But I do think that the decision made by blacks to vote by a substantial percentage for Obama says much more about them than it says about Obama. Unfortunately, it shows them in rather an unflattering light, not that they seem to care all that much about that though. It shows that they are nothing more than a group who has continually had their hand out to the government and now that they’ll have a "brother" in the White House it’s going to be easy street. Can any body say "reparations?" Or, how about a renewed emphasis on affirmative action or racial quotas? For anybody to vote for Obama, white or black, with all of the unanswered questions still circling around this guy as well as all his questionable associations, and with him claiming to be oh so innocent, you’ve got to believe he’s either a moron or a liar. And he’s not a moron so that only leaves one other choice. Now whether true or not, what other reason are blacks voting for him if not because of his race? On the whole, the black community has some very conservative views on a great many issues, and more often than not they are some of the loudest voices advocating things like school vouchers. In the big scheme of things they agree with very few of Obama’s positions, so they cannot be voting for him because they agree with him on his policy positions. So what’s left? RACE AND ONLY RACE!! So what if he’s going to trash the economy and encourage the terrorists to give it another go at killing as many Americans as possible, at least he’s black. RIGHT? And so they will vote for him in overwhelming numbers. How sad for them, but just as important, how sad for the rest of us.

  

How the government chooses to deal with this issue is extremely important to voters for two very important reasons, 1) the scientific community cannot agree on the cause or even if man can alter climate one way of the other, and 2) the potential expense to the economy of attempting to deal with it will be astronomical. So with both candidates apparently favoring some sort of government intervention, voters "must" pay attention to see which candidate would waste the most money on an issue that quite possibly does not even exist, or at the very least a problem that we may very well be unable to have any impact or effect on regardless of how much taxpayer money we throw at it. To spend any amount of money on any issue the cause of which is totally unknown is much more that ridiculous, it’s foolhardy and, quite simply, stupid, all of which means it, is more than likely, LIBERAL. But then, the fact that something is unproven or stupid never stopped politicians from either party from freely spending taxpayer money to "fix" it if they thought there was something to be gained from the attempt. Especially if doing so has any chance of making the government bigger and bring in tons more money for the government to blow.

The whole global warming discussion has basically turned into nothing more than a huge public relations stunt. What makes scientists who claim global warming is man made any more credible than those who say it is not. Thousands say global warming is purely cyclical and nothing man does can alter climate one way or the other, that it is simply impossible. What makes that opinion wrong? More often than not those who are out there claiming the opposite have some sort of ulterior motive, it’s not that they believe what they’re saying but somebody is paying them to say it. And of course this is an issue where once again the media has played and continues to play a major role in shaping public opinion by advancing those who advocate the man made aspect of global warming and ignoring those who say otherwise. It has now gotten to the point where a majority of Americans, even though they have a zero understanding of the issue, want their government to do something about it. Hence, we have both Presidential candidates advocating their own costly plans to deal with a possibly nonexistent crisis.

Of course one the lead nut jobs in the advancement of this crazy theory is none other than Al "sore loser" Gore. Mr. Nobel Prize Winner himself got his little award for promoting the whole silly notion that because the planet may be warming it’s all man’s fault and only man, by throwing tons of money at it and having the government control the manner of how that money is to be utilized, can change the most horrible outcome imaginable. Gore is nothing but an opportunist and a scammer, but you have to admit that thus far it has worked pretty darn well for him, after all it did get him that Nobel Prize. But his claims are all just a bit far fetched. Two of his scariest and most attention grabbing claims are rising sea levels and deadlier hurricanes. Gore likes to speak of the horrible consequences of an 18-20 foot rise in sea level over an unspecified time frame using computer graphics showing major parts of coastal cities like New York and San Francisco and even entire regions like South Florida under water. Yet the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report (which Gore considers to be the gold standard of consensus science) projects an increase of 7 to 23 inches over the nest "century". The lower end of that range is about what has occurred (without serious consequence) over the last two centuries. But, the public doesn’t closely follow the details of global warming science, but the disjunction between hype and reality is so big that even casual observers can smell a rat. Add to that the fact that Gore simply could not resist exploiting Hurricane Katrina, America’s deadliest disaster in years. He blames global warming for the storm that claimed over 1000 lives in August of 2005, driving home the message, with help from his leftist allies of course, with image after image of post-Katrina devastation. Gore continues to assert that Katrina portends a dangerous new era where deadlier storms are much more common. But then, how does he explain the 2006 and 2007 hurricane seasons, which were unusual only in how little hurricane damage occurred? Well that would be just an inconvenient truth.

So just how is it that we have gotten to the point where we now find ourselves and where it is now that a majority of Americans all seem to believe that yes, the sky is in fact falling. Well, the answer to that is the fact that on a daily basis we are inundated with nothing but pure propaganda regarding this issue. Some of the factors that make up that propaganda include the fact that five Supreme Court Justices, on a still too leftist court, thought it appropriate to compel the EPA to consider global warming issues as well as state and local efforts to bypass the fed and impose their own controls, all seem to be forcing Washington’s hand. Since when is anything like this something to be decided by a court, even the Supreme Court? Also the ever present and very anti-American UN has seen fit to jump on the global warming bandwagon since it sees it as a way to harm the United States. Its IPCC report, received widespread coverage in the news media as the "smoking gun" evidence that mankind is in fact warming the planet to dangerously high levels. And of course good ol’ Al Gore is doing his best to create and perpetuate the same nonsense through his book and movie has also done much to drive home the message and to add to the brain washing of an unsuspecting public. Add to these the constant drumbeat that continues as virtually every natural disaster occurs, from storms, to drought, to floods, to wildfires, to disease outbreaks, somehow gets pinned on global warming.

I guess now the question we Americans should be asking ourselves is where do we go from here? But also, why should we be the only ones footing a bill for the rest if the world, again, for a problem we may have absolutely no control over? This country is constantly being demonized as being the world’s top global warming culprit, just ask Obama, but that is about to change. China is now very close to surpassing the U.S. and becoming the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases. Did anybody watch the Olympics this past summer? Anyway, when this shift happens it "should" have a tremendous practical as well as symbolic significance and it "should" dim the appeal of unilateral U.S. action. That is if people are paying attention, and how often does that happen? Oh, and by the way, China isn’t slowly edging past American, it’s blowing our damn doors off! According to the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, which believes China has already surpassed America, emissions in China rose 9 percent in 2006 on top of a 12 percent increase in 2005. Meanwhile, America’s emissions have been growing much more slowly averaging little more than 1 percent per year and according to the Department of Energy they even declined 1.3 percent in 2006. Now, even if the U.S. were to saddle itself with economy-damaging constraints, it would barely begin to offset China’s projected increases. An since, thus far anyway, China has adamantly refused to agree to any controls while arguing that economic growth as their top priority why should the entire issue default to America? I guess we’re just supposed to suck it up and to unilaterally trash our economy to have little of no impact on an issue that may or may not even exist. HUH?

And don’t even get me started on that brilliant piece of international garbage called The Kyoto Protocol. I tell you the morons who dreamt this piece of crap up should be taken out behind the barn. This thing has been an abject failure with data showing that nearly every participating country having higher carbon dioxide emissions today than when the treaty was signed in 1997. And yet, AND YET, your still hear the Pro-Kyoto Protocol activists, and morons like Jimmy Carter, along with the media continuing to heap praise on the treaty for its carbon emissions goals, even though they rarely explore the obvious question of whether these goals are actually being met. It’s all pure propaganda, and nothing else.

So with all the scare tactics that are now in play where is it exactly that we are headed. What master plan does the government have that it wishes to put into play that will wreck havoc on this country? What some of you may remember from a few months back was the Climate Security Act. Now at the heart of this brilliant little piece of legislation was a hot new anti global warming scheme fondly referred to as "cap and trade". This is something that both McCain and Obama have embraced as a "practical" way of combating global warming. What that bill aimed to do was to gradually cut U.S. emission of greenhouse gases by 2050 to 60 to 65 percent below 2005 levels. An interesting factoid here is that both McCain and Obama favor even deeper cuts. Keep in mind here that that is an even more ambitious goal than the one in the 1997 Kyoto Treaty, and we know how well that has worked up to this point. Well needless to say that attempt failed because there were still enough sane members of Congress who saw that it far to burdensome to the economy. But the basic idea never died. Cap-and-trade involves setting yearly caps for emissions, and divvying up allowed emissions each year among industries in the from of carbon credits. Cleaner companies that don’t use up all their credits could sell their surplus to emitters. The theory goes that by making firms pay to pollute would be a way to encourage them to adopt energy-efficient technologies and/or switch from fossil fuels to cleaner alternatives, thereby lowering emissions. While the premise may sound somewhat feasible, it has proven to be pretty much unworkable and very expensive. Since the European Union adopted a cap-and-trade program three years ago, CO2 output is actually UP several percentage points. GEE, sounds like a good idea to me! Whereas the EU gave away carbon credits for free, the Senate bill would auction off some credits, a few at first then more each year. Supposedly by 2050, the auctions would raise a total of $3.3 trillion in new revenues. RIGHT! When has government math EVER bee right? And let’s just say, for the sake of argument that this amount of money become available. What might the plans be for that? Now you might think that Washington would give some of it back by slashing taxes, after all a bill like the one most recently proposed inflicts a lot of economic pain. Yet that while the backers of this most recent bill like to claim that it would create lots of new "green jobs" there’s no credible evidence to really back that claim up. What was found that enactment of the bill such as this would cause a net loss of 1.2-2.3 million jobs. And add to that the Heritage Foundation estimates that from 2012-2030 every household will pay on average an extra $8,870 to buy energy, and that includes higher gasoline prices. Now as for that supposed $3.3 trillion dollars the Democrats already have that money spent. Their plan is to "give" $800 Billion to the poor, $1.5 Trillion to their pet projects (wildlife adaptation, international aid and mass transit) and special interests. The rest, $900 Billion to "deficit reduction", yeah right!

This idea of "cap-and trade" no matter how flawed an idea it is has not gone away and is supported to some degree by both McCain and Obama. While their plans differ slightly both would cause severe damage to the economy with little of no change to the environment. The only thing that would change would be the amount of money being collected by the government coffers. The whole idea of global warming is nothing more than a scheme to inflict on an unsuspecting public a new tax tat would bring to the government trillions of dollars at the expense of our economy and millions of our jobs. All under the premise that we’re making the world warmer when in fact we may not be. Until there is a worldwide general consensus that what man is doing is in fact causing this to happen it makes absolutely NO SENSE for America to unilaterally trash its own economy.

Position of John McCain: He wants to reduce carbon dioxide by 60 percent from 1990 levels by 2050. Companies would sell unused credits for cash, with the profit motive coordinating efforts of venture capitalist, corporate planners, entrepreneurs and environmentalist to reduce emissions

Position of Obama: He would reduce carbon dioxide by 80 percent from 1990 levels by 2050. The government would auction 100 percent of the credits, using part of the proceeds to develop cleaner energy sources and help families pay energy bills.

Both plans sound nice in a touchy feely kind of way and who after all wants to trash the environment? But, there is absolutely no supporting data that say any of this will work. IN FACT, the supporting data collected thus far from countries that have tried it, point to the fact that IT WILL NOT WORK!! I guess the point of this whole thing is that we cannot afford to go off half cocked regarding the trashing of our economy when regarding an issue, as important as it may be, that we simply cannot change no matter how well intentioned it may sound to try. We must not allow ourselves to be talked into something where in the end we’re going to be the only ones made to suffer!

At the risk of repeating something that may have already been said, I still want to add my two cents to the debate about the last debate. Overall, I thought this last debate was by far McCain’s best, but. While I thought he was more forceful throughout, I just wish that he would have taken it just a step further. While Obama was busy repeating his line that 95% of Americans will not see their taxes go up, not one dime and will even be getting a tax cut under his plan, McCain should have brought to the forefront of the discussion the blatant dishonesty of that statement. It’s a fact that when Obama allows the Bush tax cuts to expire, we’re all going to get a nice big, fat tax hike. Another thing McCain could have done was to point out the fact the 40% of Americans already don’t even pay taxes. So how do those who don’t pay taxes get a tax cut? How do you make zero any less? McCain should also have pointed out that Obama’s idea for increasing corporate taxes is nothing more than adding another tax to every single American consumer. Because as we all should know by know, except for Obama I guess, is that corporations don’t pay taxes, all they do is pass them along to the unsuspecting consumer, that would be me and you. And all that’s going to do is to leave middle Americans with a whole lot less of any disposable income.

McCain "must" tie Obama and the Democrats to this current economic down turn because that, of course, would be the truth. With it going all the way back to Bonehead Jimmy Carter and having been exacerbated by "Slick" Willy, it’s now that we finally have gotten to the point where we now find ourselves in our current mess. And the answer to fixing it should be obvious and raising taxes ain’t it. The plain and simple answer is that taxes should be cut for everybody who "pays" taxes, including corporations. We need foreign corporations to want to move here instead of having ones here who want to go somewhere else. It is imperative that McCain drive that point home in the short time remaining in this campaign.

Another thing that I was not too crazy about was McCain perpetuating the mythical number of 47 million people in this country being without health insurance. That number is pure B.S. because that number has been shown repeatedly to be factually incorrect. Because after you remove the illegal aliens and all the folks out there who have made the conscious decision not to purchase health insurance for their own reasons, you end up with the much more realistic number of roughly 8 million. Which still may sound like a large number until you consider that there are 300 million people living in this country.

While McCain arguably presented some decent points regarding Senator Government’s tax policies, education ideas, spending proposals, energy policies as well as his idea for nationalizing healthcare I just don’t think went as far as he could have. I just think taking into consideration the time we have left, he stopped short of laying out what the facts are regarding the socialist agenda that Obama has in mind for this country. I also think that McCain made good use of Joe "the plumber" in putting into the proper perspective the things that Obama wants to do by pointing out what an Obama government would do "for" him. Using him as an example for the rest of us. Because a lot of us are Joe the plumber.

Also being that this was the first debate where abortion came up as a topic of discussion, I thought, again, that McCain could have put the issue to better use. I would have loved to have seen McCain call Obama out for basically being in favor of infanticide, which is a fact. But, that was probably too much to hope for. And while McCain did bring up Ayers the washed up terrorist, it was more of a glancing blow and he allowed Obama to easily slip out from under it, and there was no mention whatsoever of the crazy reverend, Reverend Wright.

Well, having said all this and not wanting to beat dead horse, overall I thought McCain did an adequate job and I think he did come out on top Wednesday night. BUT… Was it enough to change any minds or was it all just too little, too late? It may very well be that Socialism is on the way, and I think it can be argued that McCain could have done more throughout his campaign to keep it from happening. Because I fear unless something truly remarkable happens in the next 20+ days this is not going to end well for freedom loving Americans!

My God, are we Americans becoming nothing more than simply a nation of whiners, so busy sitting around feeling sorry for ourselves and blaming others for own misfortune that we’re willing to basically throw the country under the bus by voting for Obama? I have written about it here before, but it just never ceases to amaze me how stupid, naïve, uninformed and quite gullible a sizable portion of the electorate in this country has become and is apparently quite content to remain so. They’ve become so enthralled with all the pretty speeches that are written by someone else and then read from a teleprompter that they continue to fail to take the time to look a little deeper at the true positions held by the candidate, i.e., HIS RECORD!  Have we become an electorate who is now so willing to vote for the candidate who can best manipulate us through the creative use of empty slogans and bumper sticker phrases? Especially when he is actually a man who, in all reality, is a candidate who has zero substance, no experience, and who is no more qualified to be President than the guy who picks up your trash every week. No offense intended toward those men who pick up that trash.

It seems, at last when looking at Obama, that the truth has a funny way of getting lost in the translation. It just isn’t that important to him. Truth has become the main casualty in his quest to become President.  And, as it has been said many times before, the truth is not always pretty, and nothing about Obama’s true positions on the important issues is pretty. So therefore Obama must play footloose with the truth, whether he’s talking about his tax policies, his healthcare plan, his close personal ties with ACORN or any number of his other questionable personal alliances he has formed over the years. IT’S ALL A LIE!  But he remains free to make up facts about his questionable qualifications, his sleazy friends and his real plans for the country after he’s elected, because nobody in the press is going to call him out about them. And surprisingly, a lot of people just don’t really seem to care, preferring instead to accept at face value all of his nonsensical rhetoric spewed by Obama on almost a daily basis and with a smile on their face. If he, or the news media, were ever to reveal what it is he truly has in mind for us I’m pretty sure, although with today’s voters it’s hard to tell for sure, he wouldn’t be riding quite so high the polls. But then, like I said earlier, the stupidity of today’s electorate really doesn’t shock me anymore, it seems they’ll buy pretty much anything that Obama is trying to sell.

Senator Barack Obama has stated that after he "wins" this election and before he is "inaugurated" he plans to being on board as advisors "community activists" from the group ACORN and many other like thinking organizations. He says he wants to hear any and all recommendations they may have regarding what they see as solutions for the countries problems. He made this pledge while attending the ACORN sponsored "Heartland Presidential Forum" this past December in Des Moines, Iowa. This entire event was actually nothing more than a gathering of many very socialist groups and organizations and was structured around personal stories of woe which were then accompanies by demands for socialist solutions for whatever may be wrong with America. It was all about getting the government even more involved into every aspect of American society. It was nothing more than the preaching of pure Socialism as the cure-all and for any and all problems we may face.

Obama and his handlers continue their attempt to disguise, or flat out lie, about Obama’s continued association with the radical group ACORN. And of course they continue to get plenty of assistance from a news media that is blatantly in the tank for Obama. But that’s all nothing but a smoke screen that they only will have to continue until Election Day, because anything discovered after that, well, it will just be too late. There is just so much yet to be known about this man, but with it being so skillfully hidden and with a press so unwilling to go in search of the truth, I doubt much will ever see the light of day before the election. By then of course it will be much, much too late!

What we are now watching during this election in candidate Obama is something that goes much deeper than simply watching a man run for election to the office of President. And quite possibly something that could turn out to be very sinister as well. You see, I think, he has higher aspirations, much higher. I think that the goal he really has in mind is to become "The" leader of today’s worldwide leftist movement,hoping to use his rock star status to reinvigorate it, because after all, conservatives have managed to gain some ground around the world, most notably in Europe and Austrailia. And what better platform from which to do that than as the newly elected President of the United States, and after being democratically elected as such an obvious Socialist? We should all be aware by now, unless of course we’ve been living under a rock for the last two years, of the statements that Obama has made on numerous occasions outlining his willingness to sit down with oppressive dictators in a one on one type scenario as President. Now, what better way would there be for him to provide such men with such highly valued credibility? And, I would be willing to bet that in return for that valued credibility, those very same men would be more than willing to assist Obama in accomplishing his goal of assuming control of that very same leftist movement. A movement whose own ultimate goal is to dominate all governments, especially that of the United States, or at the very least to create a world government under control of that venerable leftist organization already in place, the United Nations. He already wants the U.S. taxpayers to pay to eliminate global poverty to the tune of $86 billion under the guidance of that very same corrupt, dysfunction and anti-American organization. An organization I might add which is nothing more than a front for every left leaning nut job who happens to be in the position of being the head of a "government."

It is a fact that Socialism, as a governing system, has been tried just about everywhere on the planet except here in America. And now, it is the worldwide left hoping to change that, and who are pinning their hopes on Obama, sure that he is the one who can successfully bring it to our shores. What remains to be seen, however, is whether there will be enough American voters who are going to be willing to assist them in that endeavor? Will these voters allow themselves to be manipulated into forfeiting the freedom of making their own decisions regarding how it is that they live out their lives? Decisions, I might add that Obama wants the government to be in charge of making. Or, will they balk at the last minute, coming to their senses and say no, this is not the direction in which we want the country to go in? Right now I’d say it’s a toss up, but it appears to be definitely leaning in the wrong direction.

Fortunately, there are at least some questions that are now beginning to be asked about questionable amounts of cash reaching the Obama campaign from sources outside our country. Certain sources who would love nothing more than to see a complete leftist takeover of this country’s government. It’s time for the voters of this country to decide if we are going to allow those from outside our country to dictate whom it is that will become our next President. That decision should be one that rests solely with us. We cannot afford to be persuaded or allow ourselves to become victims of a simple con job, by becoming convinced that a form of government so completely foreign to our Constitution should be allowed to take root and be given the chance to flourish in this country. Make no mistake time may be running out, and it may be later than we think. Obama cannot become President if we want to salvage what little remains of what the Founders bequeathed to us. Depending on the result of this election, the sun may very well be setting on American democracy, capitalism and free enterprise. And "if" Obama is in fact elected, it will truly mean the demise of democracy as we have come to know it and we will truly have no one to blame but ourselves.

Well, after watching the debate last night, and listening to all the people today, pundits and others, saying how McCain won, I have to say that I don’t quite agree. And quite frankly, I feel that any hope of a McCain victory in roughly THREE WEEKS, went up in smoke last night. To say that I was seriously disappointed in McCain’s performance would be a gross understatement. I think he fell short, far short from where he needed to get to with this debate. After hearing for weeks now about how the town hall format would play to his strengths, I had some pretty high expectations. Although I must say Tom Brokaw definitely screwed up the evening. But on the part of McCain it was just another example of where opportunities to paint Obama as exactly what he is, a terrorist sympathizing Socialist, were once again allowed to slip by. They were missed and missed big time. If the gloves were off, it sure wasn’t obvious too me!!

McCain did make some good points regarding Obama’s tax policies, but I don’t think he drove the points home as well as he could have. I would have loved to have seen McCain mention what exactly is going to happen to middle class taxpayers when Obama sits back and allows the Bush tax cuts to expire. All those taxpayers are going to end up paying more taxes, a lot more taxes. He compared the economic policies of Obama to those of Herbert Hoover whose policies brought about the depression, but it was kind of a weak, half hearted point to an audience most of which I doubt even know who Herbert Hoover was. McCain also touched on the Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae mess but once again let Obama off the hook by failing to connect the dots for the audience that connects Obama and the Democrats to the very creation of that very same mess. I also think that McCain could have more forcefully challenged Obama’s screwy premise that only a very small number of small business owners make more than $250,000 and would therefore not suffer under Obama’s new tax proposal. BULL!! The majority of small business owners are very much on the high side of $250,000 and would in fact be on the receiving end of increased taxes and would therefore most likely need to lay of employees to cover their new, higher tax bill. Like Biden, I seriously doubt Obama knows what even constitutes a small business. Either that or he just flat out doesn’t care. Where was McCain on that issue?

I could go on but what’s the point. Besides, I’m only depressing myself. I fear we are on the verge of allowing the most unqualified man in our history to become our President. And with that we will be enter four long years, I hope it’s only four, that will have a devastating impact on the future of this country. And a lot of people just don’t seem to care that we are about to elect a man who, with the support of a Democrat controlled Congress, will be free to do irreparable harm to our country. Failed Socialist policies will be inflicted on all facets of American society with the resulting damage done, I doubt, unable to be repaired in my lifetime. As of right now I’m looking toward 2012 with my fingers crossed we conservatives can come back. We’re going to need to work very hard in finding the right leader who will be able to lead us out of the mess that Obama will undoubtedly leave behind to be cleaned up.

The best question of the night was when they were asked what they didn’t know. That would have been the perfect time for McCain to look at Obama and say, "I don’t know Senator Obama and I certainly don’t know what he stands for." But he didn’t. That’s the line that would have been repeated over and over today. But, now it’s just another missed opportunity.

I have a question to ask, and don’t laugh because I am very serious, deadly serious in fact. And no I am not some conspiracy nut, but I am curious. My question is this; Are the Islamic Terrorists acting as something other that religious zealots? Are they actually being used as surrogates of the worldwide leftist movement in a effort to bring down the democracies of the west?   The best analogy I can think of for the Democrats behavior goes like this:  You see your spouse crossing the street and you see a car speeding directly at that them that they don't seem to see.  Now, instead of screaming at the driver to stop or trying to do anything that would get the driver's attention, what you do instead is to yell for the driver to speed up while doing nothing to warn your spouse.  That this the exact same mentality Democrats use in protecting this country from terrorism. 

Now before you start laughing hear me out. Ask yourself, what is it about every leftist government all around the globe, as well as every leftist Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) right down the venerable ACLU, that causes them to work overtime to stifle and undermine in every way possible any and all efforts made by the United States in the war on terror? From the mounting of frivolous lawsuits to organizing demonstrations in this country as well as others, they continue to throw up every type of roadblock imaginable to slow down any progress to be made in combating the terrorists by the U.S. Going so far as to even the using of classified sources within our own intelligence gathering organizations who willingly betray their own country. And the Democrats in this country are also only too willing and eager to undermine their country at every opportunity if it will advance the leftist cause throughout the world. Democrats with names like Levin, Schumer, Durbin, Clinton and yes even Obama continue to do everything that is in their power to advance their political philosophy even if their actions put the rest of us in danger. Their priority is not one of safety for Americans or the Homeland, it’s about nothing more than the acquisition of political power for the Left.  And if the terrorists can assist in that endeavor, then they are simply another asset to be utilized.

Think about it. While the Left continues to give them cover, the terrorists are free to create havoc by any means necessary and are free to commit the acts that will ensure the highest loss of life and cause the highest number of wounded. There seems to be a very high degree of teamwork going on here between the world-wide terrorist organizations and Leftist politicians and organizations. Even the U.N. contributes to creating an environment where terrorism against democracies can flourish. Because the U.N. simply refuses to enforce any type of worthwhile consequences for those who support terrorism, those regimes feel free to assist terrorist groups without fear of any type of retribution. While the U.N. itself has become nothing but a front organization for every America hating wing nut in the world. The U.N., next to the Senate, has been the biggest impediment for the U.S. in it’s ongoing battle against the terrorists. Working together these two groups are a formidable speed bump in the U.S. fight against terrorism doing everything in their power to hamper our effort to defend ourselves and to finally liquidate once and for all the threat we face from terrorism. And now here comes Obama who wants to be our President. GIVE ME A BREAK! Does anyone honestly believe that he will take the threat of terrorism seriously and take a stand against terrorism and strengthen our abilities to combat it? MY GOD, HE DOESN’T EVEN BELIEVE THERE IS A WAR ON TERROR!
