The mindless masses now clamoring for Barry’s benefits are ruining what, at least used to be, fondly referred to as the American ideal, the American dream or the American definition of prosperity for all. Why is that? What makes such a large portion of our population so obviously gullible about matters that are of such great importance to our future when it would be so easy, with just a little research, to disprove all the falsehoods about this "stimulus" bill that Barry is spewing in their direction? It’s not difficult for anyone willing to take the time to peal back all the layers of rhetoric to reveal what an astronomical waste of money this whole rescue plan is. The shear hypocrisy regarding what it is Barry and the Democrats are attempting to perpetrate again the people of this country is unbelievable. They persist in their demonization of big oil, big pharmaceutical and big business in general 24/7 and about all of it’s wasteful spending, and yet, and yet, anything that can be seen in big business pales into insignificance when compared to all the wasteful spending done by our government. Now, Barry has even taken it upon himself to be the one who will now "dictate" to corporate America when the proper time has arrived for it to be permitted to make a profit. 1984 has arrived, it just took 25 extra years.

Highlights of the $819 billion economic recovery plan passed by the House. Additional debt costs would add $347 billion over 10 years. Many provisions expire in two years.

SPENDING
Aid to the poor and unemployed -- $43 billion to provide extended unemployment benefits through Dec. 31, increase them by $25 a week and provide job training;
$20 billion to increase food stamp benefits by 13 percent;
$4 billion to provide a one-time additional Supplemental Security Income payment;
$2.5 billion in temporary welfare payments;
$1 billion for home heating subsidies;
and $1 billion for community action agencies.

Health care -- $40 billion to subsidize health care insurance for the unemployed under the COBRA program or provide health care through Medicaid;
$87 billion to help states with Medicaid;
$20 billion to modernize health information technology systems;
$4 billion for preventative care;
$1.5 billion for community health centers;
$420 million to combat avian flu;
$335 million for programs that combat AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and tuberculosis.

Infrastructure -- $43 billion for transportation projects, including $30 billion for highway and bridge construction and repair and $12 billion for mass transit, including $7.5 billion to buy transit equipment like buses;
$31 billion to build and repair federal buildings and other public infrastructure;
$19 billion in water projects;
$10 billion in rail and mass transit projects.

Education -- $41 billion in grants to local school districts;
$79 billion in state fiscal relief to prevent cuts in state aid;
$21 billion for school modernization;
$16 billion to boost the maximum Pell Grant by $500 to $5,350;
$2 billion for Head Start.

Energy -- $32 billion to fund a so-called "smart electricity grid" to reduce waste;
$6 billion to weatherize modest-income homes.

Science and technology -- $10 billion for science facilities;
$6 billion to bring high-speed Internet access to rural and underserved areas;
$1 billion for the 2010 Census.

Housing -- $13 billion to repair and make more energy-efficient public housing projects, allow communities to buy and repair foreclosed homes, and help the homeless.

Environment -- $3.2 billion to clean up Superfund and waste sites, leaking underground storage tanks, nuclear sites and military bases, as well as $400 million for habitat restoration projects and $850 million to prevent forest fires.

Law enforcement -- $4 billion in grants to state and local law enforcement to hire officers and purchase equipment.

TAXES
Individuals
-- $500 per-worker, $1,000 per-couple tax cut for two years, costing about $145 billion. For the last half of 2009, workers could expect to see about $20 a week less withheld from their paychecks starting in June. Millions of Americans who don't make enough money to pay federal income taxes could file returns next year and receive checks.

-- Greater access to the $1,000 per-child tax credit for the working poor in 2009 and 2010, at a cost of $18.3 billion. Under current law, workers must make at least $8,500 to receive the credit. The change eliminates the floor, meaning more workers who pay no federal income taxes could receive checks.

-- Increase the earned-income tax credit -- which provides money to the working poor -- for families with at least three children, at a cost of $4.7 billion.

--Provide a $2,500 tax credit for college tuition and related expenses for 2009 and 2010, at a cost of $10.3 billion. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $160,000.

-- Repeal a requirement that a $7,500 first-time homebuyer tax credit be paid back over time for homes purchased from Jan. 1 to July 1, unless the home is sold within three years, at a cost of $2.6 billion. The credit is phased out for couples making more than $150,000.

Businesses
-- Extend a provision allowing businesses buying equipment such as computers to speed up the depreciation of that equipment through 2009, at a cost of $5 billion.

-- Provide an infusion of cash into money-losing companies by allowing them to claim tax credits on past profits dating back five years instead of two, at a cost of $15 billion.

-- Repeal a Treasury provision that allowed firms that buy money-losing banks to use more of the losses as tax credits to offset the profits of the merged banks for tax purposes. The change would increase taxes on the merged banks by $7 billion over 10 years.

-- Subsidize locally issued bonds for school construction, teacher training, economic development and infrastructure improvements, at a cost of $35.5 billion.

-- Extend tax credits for renewable energy production, at a cost of $13 billion.

-- Extend and increase tax credits to homeowners who make their homes more energy efficient, at a cost of $4.3 billion. Homeowners could receive tax credits of up to $1,500 for upgrading furnaces and hot water heaters and making other improvements through 2010.

Republicans in Congress must aggressively fight the urge to continually rollover on this or any other radical plan that Barry "O" wants to put into action. It is what they must do if they want to have any hope of ever returning anywhere near to a position of power before the end of this century. They must stand firm and as one against this blatant shift leftward that Barry and the Democrats will be working overtime to ensure becomes a reality. They must practice solidarity and if they do in fact love this country, they must put forth their own intelligent, well thought out plans, presenting them to the American people as a truly sensible alternative to the socialist schemes that will continue to be put forth by Barry. And when the Democrats stifle the attempts to allow any opposition proposals demanded by rules of common civility, Republicans should play the game the same way that it has been played against them. They must retaliate by voting in mass against any and all Democrat plans for initiating their massive increase in wasteful government spending. Solidarity must be the watchword and it must be the name of he game from this point on because nothing less will do. I would like to think that those I vote for love this country as much as I do, and will not simply cave on bad policy solely in an attempt to keep their cushy jobs up there in Washington. They’ll be doing themselves no favors by supporting Barry and his massive government buildup. I would also like to think that when they asked me for my vote it is because they believe in what it is I believe in, in all that is possible for this great country. And I would like to hope that I’m not simply being naïve, but they may yet prove that just the opposite is true.

Trust me, Barry continues to do the full court press in his attempt to convince and or persuade Republican members of Congress to support his faux "rescue/stimulus/bailout" plan not out of some deep-seated desire for bipartisenship. His only goal here is to gain their support just long enough to get this legislative train wreck passed, so that when it does blow up he and his team can spread the blame around by throwing the Republicans under the bus. The sooner they understand that they are only being used as patsies and as potential sacrificial lambs, the better for all of us. The plain, honest to God truth here is that Barry and the Democrats can run this liberal grab bag disguised as a "stimulus" legislation through Congress with zero help from the Republicans in the House and with the assistance of only two Republicans in the Senate for a cloture vote. So it should be painfully obvious what he’s really up to and what it is he is really after here. Very simply, all he is attempting to do is to reduce the likelihood of history repeating itself. Back when "Slick" Willie passed his big tax increase and other of his nonsensical legislation, not one Republican jumped ship and sided with him with the end result being the 1994 Republican Revolution. At the risk of repeating myself here, again, it should be plain to see that all Barry is now looking for from the Republicans is that much needed political cover that will afford him the opportunity to deflect some, if not most, of the consequences toward them when this thing takes a drastic turn south, which it will. He’s simply looking for a way to reduce the potential collateral damage to the Democrats and his own re-election chances by being able to tell the voters, "But, the Republicans voted for it too." The big question, however, that remains looming out there like an elephant in the livingroom, is will our Republicans of questionable courage take the bait. My friends, only time will tell, and I’m sitting on pins and needles in anticipation. Barry and his boys are already downplaying the potential benefits that are supposed to be realized from this wasteful Democrat wish list thinly disguised as a rescue/stimulus/bailout package. That is just one more piece of evidence revealed by these architects of impending doom whose highly suspect motives behind this whole idea are nothing more than just another way to weaken that same economy it purports to bolster. And it is why, if this whole fiasco is passed, which it will be, it must be strictly along party lines with zero defections from the Republican ranks. ZERO!

What we are on the verge of here, is an aggressive and blatant attempt to move this country drastically to the left, an attempt the likes of which has not been seen in our history. What Barry is attempting to do makes even those attempts by his hero, FDR, to accomplish the same thing, pale in comparison. And because of Barry’s mistaken impression that he has been provided with some sort of twisted mandate because, as he says, he "won", his brazen attempts must be halted in their tracks before he is allowed to do anymore damage. In order stop this leftist takeover of our government from continuing we cannot afford to have repeated defections from our ranks such as the ones so recently on display with an obvious and unapologetic tax cheat confirmed as our new Treasury Secretary. This crook should have been run out of town on a rail with the Republicans standing by with the tar and feathers. I simply do not understand the unwillingness or the stubbornness of these people in refusing to take a principled stand against those they know are not deserving of the peoples trust and who wish to lead this country in this march toward Socialism. Barry and his minions must be prevented from the successful completion of their mission at all costs.

Just one more thing. The following 10 Republican Senators who voted to confirm an admitted tax fraud as our next Treasury Secretary have some explaining to do. And they all need to be put on notice that they will, from this point on, be held accountable for their limp-wristed responses to Barry;

I’m not sure how many of you who stop by here ever take the time to stop by Powerline or Redstate but they both have interesting posts regarding Barry’s recent subtle threat directed at GOP lawmakers about Rush and therefore against all of conservative Talk Radio. I also saw a brief story on Fox News earlier this evening covering the same subject. It seems that in a conversation with GOP lawmakers Barry pretty much told them to cease listening to Rush Limbaugh if they were expecting to be able get anything done and if they intended to be working with Democrats in any way. With the election of Barry "O’ Mighty", freedom of speech in this country is now hanging by a very slim thread. Because of their recent examples of late of them lacking that much needed spine, I am not at all that sure, at least at the present time, how it is that the Republicans in Congress will react to such a overt and blatant attack on our right to free speech. So it is then, that for at least the being, we the people must take matters into our own hands until it can be determined with any degree of certainty just how the leadership on our side of aisle will address this obviously unconstitutional attempt to silence any and all political opposition.

If there was anyone who had any doubts as to the direction in which Barry wanted to drag this country before the election, this should be an eye opening experience for them. The outrageous ego and unbelievable arrogance on display here is by this man is nothing short of mind-boggling. It’s as if he feels he has been bestowed with the power to actually dictate to the rest of us lowly masses who it is we can listen to and who we cannot. How dare he, just where the Hell does he get off? But, I suppose what scares me even more than the threats coming from Barry, is the uncertainty that I feel regarding the manner in which our current batch of Republicans will choose to respond to this attempt to stifle any source of differing opinion. These Democrats have this overwhelming need to squelch any and all voices coming from those who oppose their and Barry’s drive toward a pure Socialist for of government for this country. It is all nothing but an sinister attempt against those of us who work so very hard to stay informed about what is it they have in mind. The mainstream media does an excellent job of completely keeping in the dark a substantial portion of the population regarding what Barry’s plans are for the rest of us. With that same mainstream media firmly in the Democrat’s back pocket, these egomaniacal media individuals, who insist on describing themselves as being the only ones capable of protecting us from tyranny are, instead, constantly poised to rush into action in a moments notice to defend their liberal masters. Never shy about using whatever means necessary, they lie, distort and use vague innuendo to castigate those who dare raise a voice in opposition against their mighty paymasters.  They swiftly move into attack mode, rushing to the defense of those to whom they have eagerly sold their souls, to discredit any and all voices of opposition. 

Barry must be made to realize that his attack on free speech is not just an attack on Rush Limbaugh and the other voices we have come to rely on, but that it is also an attack on all of us who, unlike he and his merry band of Socialist Democrats, still believe in our Constitution. Because just in case the Republicans do go wobbly on this very important issue that is so vital to our society remaining free, we must be standing at the ready to rush to our country’s defense. This aggressive attack on one of our most basic human freedoms, freedoms bestowed upon us by God not by Barry "O’mighty", cannot be permitted to stand. If he is allowed to get away with this then we are truly headed for a place that many of us knew was likely if he was to get elected, but may turn out to be far worse than even we thought. For those morons who voted for this Socialist simply so they could be a part of "history", I say thanks a lot. These simpletons will now be able to lay claim for themselves as the ones being responsible for so much more than simply electing the first black president. They will also be able to include in their resume that they aided and abetted in the destruction of our Constitution that up to this point has lasted over 200+ years. And for what, a nice, big, fat government check every month? I hope it was worth to them!

Anyway, back to Gitmo, I’m sure ever since his taking this action he says was necessary, they’ve been partying pretty much nonstop down at ol’ terror central. Their good buddy Barry Hussein "O’mighty" has made, with this his first official act, his intentions crystal clear regarding exactly whose side it is he is on in this, our ongoing fight for survival. His failure to take a stand against those who would like nothing more than to kill every last one of us can be and should be seriously called into question. Now, in all reality, this should come as no real surprise to anyone here, at least to anybody who has been paying any attention since Barry began his rise to power. This is, after all, the standard operating procedure for today’s liberal, anti-American, Democrats. These frauds continue their attempt to live their lives vicariously through today’s anti-war nuts, trying to turn back the clock, back to their glory days during the Vietnam War and then they have the nerve to come unglued when their patriotism is called into question. Well excccccuuuusssseeeee MEEEE! These same individuals who possess such questionable patriotism will continue to let nothing stand in their way when it comes to lowering our defenses, expending whatever energy necessary to successfully gut our very means of defending this country. Democrat’s just love advancing their appeasement oriented policies specifically designed to undermine the security of this country as they ignore all aspects of the most important job of the Federal Government, defense of the homeland. And Barry O will be the necessary rubber stamp for every wacko Democrat attempt to undermine this country’s very foundation as well as any means we may have to defend our way of life.

I have spoke of this before but it is so very important I feel I cannot say it enough. It is now at this time that the Republicans have a very important, as well as a very key decision to make. Will they continue to think of only themselves, or, will they once again, as Ronald Reagan before them, put the county first and foremost. It is "the" decision that will foretell the future regarding their ability as well as their desire to survive. It will determine whether they are able to become and, to remain a viable opposition party or if they will simply slip off quietly into oblivion. Will they use that spineless Republican star of the Senate, doofus Lindsay Graham, as their role model for the most effective way in dealing with the coming issues and inevitable confrontations? Will they hone the necessary skills useful in the rolling over when faced with obstacles that are just not worth the tough fight, until they essentially become irrelevant? Or instead, will they stand up and fight for this country’s future, rocking the boat and finally exhibiting a little gumption and start leading by example. Will they take the fight to the Democrats or go sulking off to a corner every time the Democrats say boo.

We are now entering into a period of time full of uncertainty that has the potential to alter this great land with the instituting of changes that will move us far from what it was that the Founders intended for us. The time ahead will hold great change for this country, change that has very little chance in any way to strengthen this country’s standing in the world but instead has an excellent chance of weakening it throughout the world thus impacting the overall stability of the entire planet. The "change" about to be inflicted upon us will, unless there are many much needed, and hopefully successful roadblocks by strong Republicans, leave this country completely vulnerable in so many ways, not only militarily, but economically and as a free society as well.

What follows here is a partial list of that cast of characters that Barry is bringing back into government service in the attempt to finish the move to the left that began under the two most recent Democrat administrations. From the administration of "Slick" Willie we have quite the cadre of useless retreads: Anthony Lake, USAF Gen (Ret) Jonathon Gration both of whom are left-wing nut jobs advising the president on National Defense. Then we have Gregory Craig, Susan Rice, Madeline Albright, Richard Holbrook and Daniel Shapiro advising on matters of State. And finally we have a major contributor to the events of 9-11, Jamie Gorelick who may now be getting a position in the Justice Department. And returning from the administration from that stellar president, Jimmy Carter, we have John Holum, a true disciple of the proper liberal appeasement and surrender techniques also coming in as an advisor on national defense or quite possibly even receiving a position at the Defense Department. Google any one of these highly suspect and overrated has-beens from Democrat administrations past and you’ll get a much more realistic and clearer picture regarding just what kind of change it is that Barry has in store for us. Add the leftist agendas of these particular folks to what little we already know about where Barry stands on many of the same issues and we have recipe for an apocalyptic disaster the likes of which this country may never recover from.

As I mentioned above, included here is only a partial list comprised of the hardcore, fanatical leftwing zealots who are now being recruited by Barry "O’mighty" to come and join him. He is asking that these people come join him and assist him in the remaking of this country, steering it farther left toward that catastrophic system of government, Socialism. He is seeking their help in accomplishing his sinister plan to quite literally destroy our capitalist way of life. He is seeking those who possess the very same deep-seated hatred of America that he himself possesses to implement his plan of unilateral reduction in our abilities to defend ourselves. In his effort to make this country completely defenseless and vulnerable to attack by our enemies, he is bringing on board likeminded individuals who will ravage our military resources, stripping us of capabilities to wage a war of self-preservation. The people that he is bringing onboard clearly demonstrate that the direction of Barry’s idea of "change" is far from forward looking. It begs the question, how can this country prepare for the uncertain future that lies ahead by returning to the antiquated and ineffective policies of the past. Especially when he chooses as members of his team those very people who, in some instances, were responsible for creating those failed policies in the first place. A great many of these returning players helped put into practice those things that helped to make the catastrophic events of 9-11 possible. How long do you think it will be before their return to positions of power will be followed by yet another catastrophic event as bad or worse than those of that terrible day? How many millions must die because of their gross incompetence and outright negligence?

I simply cannot bring myself to respect this man who is such a pathetic individual and nothing more than an incredible, no talent fraud. It’s hard to respect someone whom the media basically took it upon themselves to hide, and to quite literally keep secret, anything and everything that might have kept otherwise rational thinking Americans from voting for. The fact that he happens to be black has nothing to do with the loathing that I feel for this man, who managed to get himself "elected" by doing nothing more than gaining access to enough money, from some highly questionable sources I might add, to quite literally buy the election. My loathing is based on nothing more than the fact that he wishes to destroy my country that is the reason I hold him in such low regard. Therefore, I have zero interest in hearing anything this arrogant and egotistical boob has to say, it’s all nothing more than pure fiction anyway and absolute drivel. He continues to have no substance and eventually, I hope, a sufficient number of people will see through his empty, perfectly scripted words. Everything this guy puts out for general consumption has been thoroughly scrubbed, focus grouped and polled before he ever goes in front of his teleprompter to read it. And with his grandiose plans to lurch this country to the left, he is nothing more than Jimmy Carter on steroids. And then there is this continuing and ridiculous comparison to Lincoln, which has to be the single, most ludicrous thing I think I’ve ever heard, it’s laughable. If anything, this bonehead is the anti-Lincoln. The damage to this country that will in all likelihood be the ultimate end result of 4 years, or God forbid 8 years, of this man in office will set this country back 100 years, if not farther.

The thought, in some corners of this great country, is that he was owed this, because now that he has been elected, America’s wounds from slavery can finally heal. Wait until he brings up the topic of reparations, but that will be the topic for another post. Anyway, which of the last 43 presidents was elected because it was owed to him. Oh, that’s right, this guy is black and that makes it all different. But what really gets me, is how there are so many people, even many on our side of the political spectrum, who want him to succeed? WHAT? Haven’t they been paying any attention for at least the last two years, to what it is this guy wants to do? I don’t want him to succeed, I don’t want him to come anywhere near succeeding. And, I will do everything I can do in my own small way to prevent him from doing so. I mean would anyone in their right mind or anyone who truly loves this country want this guy to actually succeed in the implementation of an agenda that represents such a grave danger to the basic rights and freedoms so enjoyed by the people of this country. This nightmare scenario that is now the Barry "O’mighty" presidency, that we have now officially entered into, if it is in fact successful, will lead directly to the demise of this country as we have come to know it. It will be THE END for what this country has come to be recognized as around the world, the land of the free and the home of the brave. America will simply become another France.

Just one final thought and then I’ll go. This morning on my way to work, listening to my regular morning drive syndicated Talk Radio Show, I heard what has to be considered one of the most brain dead, moronic statements I have yet heard regarding Barry’s winning the election. What this host said, and keep in mind I usually agree with what he has to say, was that with Barry’s being sworn in as president came the realization of Martin Luther King’s dream of a time when men would be judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I almost drove off the road. Now I hate to have to be the one to raise the BS flag here, but if this election did anything at all it was to prove that just the opposite is in fact true. Barry was not judged or elected based on the content of his character because, quite honestly, he has none. He was, in point of fact, judged and elected solely on the basis of the color of his skin. To put into simpler terms especially for those who voted for him, Barry was elected for no other reason than because he is black, not in spite of his being black. If those on our side of the political argument insist in continuing to kowtow to this blatant socialist because of some strange illusion of historic precedent, then the end is truly near. This country will be doomed and it is only a matter of time before this beacon of freedom for the world that so brightly shines will be finally and permanently extinguished. So much for this being the last best hope for mankind.

WELCOME TO OBAMALOT, RULED BY BARRY "O’MIGHTY"

Israel has stopped short yet again in its battle against those who wish to do it harm. What’s with this guy Olmert? Israel cannot afford to let Hamas off the hook the same way it did Hezbollah. It simply is not in its best interest. Just like there’s no crying in baseball, there’s no such thing as a unilateral cease-fire in war. That, my friends, is achieved when you beat your adversary into submission and you get that same result when they SURRENDER! These murdering thugs are not going to stop lobbing their rockets or sending their suicide bombers into Israel until they are all dead. That’s why there is no other option than the complete extermination, right down to the last one still breathing. These cowards who insist on fighting from churches, schools and from civilian areas in general do all their fighting while hiding behind women and children. They are not brave soldiers, they are nothing more that gutless, religious fanatics.

Israel cannot afford nor can it allow itself be swayed by outside pressure, even pressure from the United States, when it is its very survival that is at stake here. Although I wonder, now that Barry "Almighty" will be our "leader", and I use that term rather loosely, if this isn’t the same tactic that he would happily employ. Would it matter to him that Americans were being slaughtered if there was pressure coming from the United Nations for America to cease hostilities against those doing the slaughtering of her citizens? At this point it time, quite frankly, that’s hard to determine. Surrender and appeasement are the Democrat's preferred methods of conducting warfare after all.

Israel has only one realistic option for peace, they must literally push these barbarians into the sea leaving zero room for either retreat or escape. That is the only way that there will ever be any peace with those causing so much death. The only thing this cease-fire will accomplish is that it will provide Hamas with sufficient time to do some much needed rearming and thus start the cycle of violence all over again quite possible even stronger than before. It must not be allowed to kill anymore. It must be ended!

Since day one of this most brilliantly conceived and wonderfully constructed Republic there have been those out amongst us who have been on a mission, a mission consisting of nothing more than their constantly exerting a maximum effort looking for ways to destroy, to alter, to undermine or to subvert the Founder’s original design of implementing a government of the people, by the people and for the people. To this day these sinister, corrupt and power hungry individuals continue to be unrelenting in their attempts to convince the people of this country that there is in fact a better way than that nearly perfect form of democracy that was created by our Founding Fathers. They are constantly doing their best to actually alter the definition of the freedoms so enjoyed yet so taken for granted by the American people. These very same individuals, while portraying themselves as those whose sole purpose in life is the welfare of the people, are in fact doing nothing more than looking out for their own welfare and interested only in advancing their own cause and their own fortunes. While at the same time, they continue to work tirelessly at lessening the power of the people while tightening their own grip on power over them.

There have been numerous occasions throughout our history when the individuals possessing such a philosophy have managed to wrestle away control of our government for their own benefit. The faces may have changed over the years, but the mission remained the same. In order to do so, however, they are always forced to use their typical deceptive and clandestine methods, because if they ever slip up and expose to the people their true purpose, these individuals out to undermine our democracy could never honestly win the support of the people. In attempting to persuade the people to go along with them in their fascination with forming a that much sought after Socialist utopia, these elitists continually do their absolute best to convince the mostly less fortunate among us that our current democratic system has run its course and has ultimately proven itself to be nothing if not a dismal failure. On each occasion that the attempt was made, it was always "the time" to try something new, something that would make our society more fair and equitable for all, a new form of government that they had the just perfect idea for, although the term Socialism was never actually used. As a result, there were those times when the people were convinced to go along with them believing rhetoric, only to discover to their detriment, that time and time again the rhetoric did not nearly match what it was those they had trusted were then attempting to force upon them. Only too late did they realize they had been lied to yet again. And so, we would have at other times a rebellion, so to speak, against such nonsense with the voters, at least temporarily, coming to their senses. They were not so willing a second time to buy into the liberal nonsense, hence a sufficient number of voters could prevent these socialist frauds from consistently prevailing at the polls and returning to the seat of power to further threaten our democracy. But those who were in favor of less Democracy and more Socialism seemed to gain a little more strength and influence with each passing year as well as with each passing election. And because we Americans tend to have, politically speaking, a rather short memory, these elitists slowly made progress toward their desired end goal of finally ridding this country of it’s democratic heritage and proven form of government. They were driven toward one thing and one thing only, moving America left, toward a new form of government that would afford them not only greater control over the people, but would also provide them with increased political power. A result of that uniquely American long term memory loss, we were forced to suffer through specific times in our history where it seemed that our democracy was hanging by a thin thread and headed for extinction. It is because of those episodes that we are still suffering from many of their long lasting consequences. Throughout our history, for these purveyors of Socialism, it was a slow process of one step forward two steps back for, but there occurred some pretty dark times when it seemed as if there were two steps forward and no steps back. It was during these times that the trusted men serving as Democrat Presidents were, in all actuality, nothing more than thinly disguised socialists out to advance their Party’s cause. These were men with the names of Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt and Lyndon Johnson just to name the three men responsible for most of the damage done in the 20^th century. Jimmy Carter tried, but he was just too stupid to carry it off.

And so to today, when we find ourselves at a time that, it would appear at least at first glance, that enough Americans may have once again, and quite possibly permanently this time, bought into the nonsense and been converted to the dark side, in favor of the anti-democracy advocates. We have elected to the Oval Office the single most devout practitioner as well as the loudest advocate of Socialism in its purest form, in our history. To make matters worse we have handed to this man, courtesy of a brain dead electorate, a significant majority of like-minded members in both houses of Congress. And how, you may wonder, did we ever manage to get into such an unbelievable situation? Well, one answer may be that we have now arrived at a point where our country has tipped toward where there are now more people living off the government than there are people who are not. And of course, those who have now become firmly attached to the government teat are also firmly entrenched in the Democrat camp. But another possible answer exists, one that I think may be the more likely one. It is that the average intelligence of your common, garden variety, everyday American is somewhere between that of your basic lawn maintenance engineer and that of an ice cube. Barry "Almighty" managed to pull off a victory to become the 44^th President of this country through the usual Liberal methods, using blatant deception, outright lies and through the effective manipulation of that very same questionable voter intelligence. He continued to repeat his left wing mantra in the attempt to paint a picture of a present day, depression era America through the use of grandiose embellishments, wild exaggerations and even outright lies. Listening to him and his fan club disguised as the national media you would have sworn that there were soup lines, double-digit unemployment and all the other trappings of that much Democrat wished for return to their old, glory days. By using the typical Democrat empty rhetoric consisting of vague, non-specific promises of "hope" and "change" and the typical left wing utopian notions, he did manage to prove one thing. That the favorite tactic of choice for Democrats, the continued telling of what they know to be lies often enough and loud enough while at the same time having their tripe echoed non-stop in the media will have the desired effect on our simpleton voting public. Eventually enough of these simpletons in our society will actually believe even the most outrageous of lies to be true. And sadly, more often than not their ploy works very well. If there is one thing that is certain, it is that Barry does not have a clue about what needs to be done regarding our economy or our national security, and that my friends is truly terrifying. And with him now about to be sworn in, he still seems to be in campaign mode as he continues with his nonsensical and flowery speeches devoid of any substance or specifics, exposing his egomaniacal personality through his visions of personal grandeur. He is just so confidant that he will be able convince the rest of us that democracy has had its chance, that it is now the dawn of a new day and now it is time to give something else a try. What he and the Democrats have in mind for this country is nothing short of an economic apocalypse, which is what they will use as their main tool to inflict their malignant form of Socialism upon the rest of us. And just what is it about Socialism that it has such an appeal for Democrats other than the accumulation of political power? Can anyone think of one thing, just one thing, some invention, some example of creativity, anything that has ever come out of a Socialist country that was for the benefit, or served as a betterment of any people, anywhere? What little piece of ingenuity, no matter how insignificant, has ever come out of any Socialist or rag-head Arab country? Take just a few minutes to consider just how backward and primitive the world would still be today if not for the ingenuity, creativity, innovation and imagination that has had its origin here in America. And it would seem to me that the quickest way to stifle that creativity and that innovation unique to free market Capitalism is to inflict upon that single most creative society on the planet the crippling yoke of Socialism.

Those Americans who seem to have become so enamored with the idea of Socialism that they are convinced that the time has arrived to move on, or to evolve, from what has come to be recognized as our unique American Democracy may very well live to regret their fateful decision. The election of this skillful reader of flowery prose does nothing if not illustrate the public’s, as well as the media’s, infatuation with this man who is such an obvious fraud, and proves beyond any doubt that ignorance truly is bliss. The American people in choosing to elect a man whom they, in all reality, knew absolutely nothing about, a man with zero executive experience, knowledge or abilities and a man whose only claim to fame was to have been a community activist/organizer for the Socialist front group, ACORN, have succeeded in placing our democracy in grave jeopardy. If the American people are so enthralled and so determined to become citizens of a Socialist country then they best prepare themselves regarding the direct consequences of such an eventuality; higher taxes, higher employment, higher consumer prices, higher crime rates, a lower standard of living and a healthcare system designed to discourage use by hoping that prospective patients die before services will need to be provided. Anyone who does not believe that this would be the case need look no further than any country in Western Europe, all of whom are suffering from some, if not all of these current ailments. Be careful what you wish for.

This nauseating infatuation many of them have with Barry "Almighty" has me on the verge of losing my lunch. Where are those who we’re counting on to stand in opposition to the wealth of Socialist policies and schemes that Barry and the Democrats want to inflict upon this country? And what the heck is going on at these so-called "confirmation" hearings, what a freakin joke. These appointees of Barry’s are virtually a who’s who of the most politically corrupt and dishonest individuals that we’ve seen come down the pike since the last Democrat administration. In this batch of Cabinet appointees we have a Secretary of State nominee who voted for a war she opposed, a Secretary of the Treasury who purposely and willfully didn’t pay his taxes, well not until he found out he was going to be asked to join Barry’s Team, a Secretary of Education who can’t speak proper English and a person tapped to be the head of the EPA who just happens to be a member of one of the largest Socialist organizations on the planet and a firm believer in the man-made global warming religion. Is this the definition of Barry’s idea of change?

Our stellar Republican leaders seem to be perfectly content to be, and to indefinitely remain so, completely subservient to Barry, Harry and Nancy. Our current batch of practitioners of rather anemic leadership skills are to be considered nothing more than gutless cowards until they finally take some sort of stand to protect the people of this country against those who would love nothing more than to impose a massively oversized government upon the people. These pathetic excuses for political leaders that we are supposed to be able to count on in time of crisis to advance the conservative agenda, instead, are all to too busy caving into the Democrats and their blatantly socialist agenda. It would appear that their primary goal is to do whatever they think they must to remain in their cushy jobs there in Washington. Meanwhile there are crazed Muslims out there who are trying to kill us which seems to be of little or no concern to today’s usual Democrat suspects. I mean just how many of our fellow countrymen will be required to be sacrificed at the Obama’s alter of hope and change because of his gross inexperience together with the criminal negligence, and borderline treasonous behavior so often in display from his Democrat Party. The Republicans are supposed to be the ones on our side in this fight!

I was just thinking the other night that maybe it’s time to just ditch the Republican Party altogether as a means for advancing those policies that are important to we conservatives. Maybe we need to go in search of those who are the true conservatives and who are willing to join the good fight and assemble a Conservative Party and simply allow the Republican Party to go the way of the dodo. After watching them, basically, throw away opportunity after opportunity to institute conservative principles into the federal government, I have come to the conclusion that this is not what I signed up for. I’m tired of bending over and grabbing my ankles and allowing the Democrats to have their way without anyone even putting up a fight. Every time I think they might have finally and miraculously grown a spine, wham, they let me down one more time and go skulking off to a corner with their tail between their legs at the first sign of Democrat resistance.

The Republican Party as it now exists cannot exist as long as it remains on its current path toward becoming nothing more then the Democrat Lite Party. As long as its leaders remain to be men like John "I wish I was a Democrat" McCain, a man I felt forced to vote for as President, the party will continue to hang by a thread. He is one of the most dangerous individuals regarding the life expectancy of this Party. The Republican Party, at least for the present time, cannot be considered as the home for conservative thinking Americans. The dwindling number of party leaders with genuine conservative core values that now reside there are finding themselves, more often than not, on the outside looking in. They would be providing a much better service to both themselves and the country if they were to abandon the Republican Party as a lost cause, cutting their loses, as it were, and strike out into the wilderness in a new direction and forming a truly Conservative Party to take into battle. I for one would be willing to join them on that march.

The majority of today’s liberals come across, more often than not, as nothing more than pathetic grown up versions of their former selves as the whiney crybabies who beat up on pretty much a daily basis for their lunch money. They’re really nothing more today than those very same spoiled brats of their youth, they’re just all growed up. Can anyone honestly look at such a group of pathetic losers like Harry Reid, Carl Levin, Little "Dick" Durbin, Chuckie Schumer and not be able to visualize them as the whiney, snivelly, spoiled brats that continually got the snot kicked out of them for some change. Or how about Henry Waxman and Barney Frank. Old Henry got beat up because he was just to damn ugly, Barney most likely would have gotten beat up for being a sissy. Looking back, those were probably the good old days that made these stalwart "men" of so little character into what they are today, sniveling, pacifist appeasers afraid to stand up to anyone and are all too eager to throw their country under the bus.

These pathetic individuals repeatedly prove, at every opportunity, that they are nothing more than the little momma’s boys that appear to have grown up on the outside while nothing has really changed for them on the inside. Between their egos and their incredible stupidity they are now in a position where they can quite possibly cause some real damage. Today they have a great sense of over inflated self-importance to the point where they think they are actually "somebody." After all, "they" are members of the US Congress, who think that now is the time for a little payback for all that missing lunch money. Only now they are in a position to inflict their form of retribution on the entire population by being nothing more than the bullies who beat them up in their youth.

There is really very little difference between then and now for these men. Today they are nothing if only larger versions of their younger selves. They are little boys on a power trip and literally have no interest in maintaining our present democracy and instead are focused, along with Barry "Almighty", in moving this country sharply to the left. That these men have been able to attain the positions that they have is nothing short of amazing and just this side of bizarre. The fact that men such as these have even managed to get themselves elected says much more about the boobs who vote for losers like them than it says about the men themselves. These men, that were most likely sniveling brats as children, grew to be men of little character, no integrity, who are blatantly dishonest and cannot be trusted by those who elect them. Their rise to positions of power is something that could very easily be called revenge of the wimps. One could make the argument that even today they could all use a good, old-fashioned butt whupin. I’m really tired of these pathetic, know nothing hypocrites whose sole purpose in life seems to be to drive this country right into the ditch. They suck with a capital "S".

When will our illustrious Republican leaders in the House and Senate ever decide to grow a pair of gonads? I was listening to Rush today and he was talking about how he had a spy attending the latest Republican Party retreat where those very same leaders were supposedly discussing tactics for the new Congress. He was saying how the orders being issued were of a very conciliatory tone where members were being told to be non-confrontational, to make nice and to look for ways to work with the expanded Democrat majority and Barry "Almighty". GIVE ME A FREAKIN BREAK! How in the hell are we ever supposed to win back our majority when all we have as, so-called, leaders is this bunch of cowardly wussies. I mean, come on!

We need warriors because it’s time to slap on the war paint, bring out the long knives and go on a scalp hunting party. We need to develop an aggressive, take no prisoners attitude and start using the same cutthroat tactics used by the Democrats. To do anything less will only relegate us to never being anything more than the permanent minority party. Now if those who currently represent us in Congress are satisfied with this status, then they need to quit, go home and let some new, fresh and younger blood come in and take over. It’s time to lead, follow or get out of the way because there is quite simply just too much at stake here to do otherwise. The future of the country needs to be wrestled away from the Democrats who are determined to drive our economy and our country into the ground. We do not need those who are faint of heart. What we need are those willing to make the necessary short-term sacrifices in order to achieve our long-term goals. Of course we’re going to take some hits in the press but so what. Are we trying to get those egotistical schleps in the media to like us or are we out there trying to save the country from ruin?

Those of us here in Florida, now with Mel Martinez getting out of the way, need to do what we can to convince Jeb Bush that the country needs him as well as others around the country like him to run for the House and Senate. We need to establish a very much needed conservative counter weight to Obama’s and the Democrats blatant push toward Socialism. We need individuals of strength and courage who when pushed will push back harder not simply go running off sniveling into a corner. We need those willing to kick butt and take names, bloody a few Democrat noses, and make sure these Democrats know they’ve been in a fight. They may still get what they want in the end, but it should not be because we didn’t put up a valiant fight. And when the dust settles and the battle is over there’s going to need to be some bodies left behind on the floor and we have to make sure that at least as many of those bodies belong to them as belong to us. When we go before the electorate in 2010 we’ll have some scars resulting from those battles entered into and will be able to brag about them when we go looking for votes.

Well, I certainly hope all those who thought it would be so clever to hand the Democrats even greater majorities in Congress as well as electing Barry "Almighty" as their president are pleased with themselves today. I’m sure they’re all walking around proudly patting themselves on the back thinking what a great thing it is that they have accomplished. They, and they alone can claim moral superiority for electing the least qualified, but at least the first black president and for nearly, but for the grace of God, giving the Democrats their very much sought after filibuster-proof Senate. Unfortunately, their little plan may just backfire on all of us, not quite turning out the way they may have thought. Look at the fine mess they’ve gotten us into already and the guy hasn’t even been sworn in yet. Now while they may not have created the mess, they certainly should be held at least partially accountable for allowing such pathetically corrupt politicians to think it is absolutely permissible, or even acceptable, to do anything they please and still end up getting off scot-free. From Charlie Rangel’s tax fraud, the blatant stealing of a Senate election to the possible appointment of a bimbo, albeit a rich bimbo, as the Senator from New York nothing seems to be out of bounds for these clowns. Experience is no longer a prerequisite for seeking public office ever since our brilliant electorate ensured that victory went to the most inexperienced, incompetent and quite possibly the most dangerous man to ever occupy the Oval Office. And now we have another ignorant, know nothing Democrat appointed to fill the Senate seat left vacant by that other ignorant, know nothing Democrat, and now president-elect, by an obviously corrupt governor in the politically corrupt state of Illinois. Can anyone possibly imagine how this screwy scenario would be portrayed in the media if the main players were Republicans? Now I’m not saying we should have elected McCain, and judging by some of the stupid things he has said since the election, I’m not all that disappointed that he lost. However, having said that, there were still plenty of good, solid Republicans who were running for Senate and House seats that were worthy of voting for and should have been voted for. It is a distinct possibility that they might have been, had it not been for the media acting in concert with their Democrat handlers in conducting an overwhelming slanderous campaign against anyone with an (R) after their name.

And just when I think things have gotten just about as goofy as they possibly can get, suddenly a whole new batch of goofy is forced on us. It’s absolutely amazing. We are now at a point where the country is rapidly going down the toilet and we find the Democrats and their accomplices in the media acting as one, poised with their hand on the handle ready to administer that one final and quite possibly fatal flush. There is presently a growing tide of Socialism that is threatening to wash over this country all in the name of massive bailouts which will allow the government greater control over an ever expanding portion of our "private" economy. This fact in itself should terrify every American who supports our economic engine of free enterprise capitalism, because it is under a full-fledged, take no prisoners assault from those on the left. For crying out load, we now have the Porn industry with its hand out to the government whining for a bail out. Can you believe it? So I think we all need to take a little time out of our very busy day to thank all those millions of stupid voters who through their ignorance now have this country bent over and grabbing its ankles, ready to take one in the shorts. I’m sure they are oh so proud of themselves right about now after having voted for these honest, incorruptible, power hungry political hacks. This is the same bunch of mental midgets who think it would be such a stellar idea to allow these same all caring politicians and bureaucrats complete control over the single most important aspect of our individual lives. That would be the ability to obtain adequate medical care for ourselves and our families, an aspect which those in government should have no business getting involved in. We’re just supposed to blindly trust the same party rife with corruption who destroyed the housing industry as well as being responsible for crippling the auto industry with that single most important responsibility, the providing of adequate healthcare for ourselves and our families. These morons are in for one rude awakening if they think that by turning over control of the American healthcare system to Barry "Almighty" and his merry band of thieves is going to be anything but bad. They are suffering from a severe case of delusion if they think that is in any way how you attempt to improve what is now considered to be the best healthcare system in the world. So when they trot junior into the doctor’s office and the doctor says junior needs and MRI, once again there will be no one to blame but themselves when junior can’t get his, quite possibly life saving test for, oh say, A YEAR. In the system being advocated by the people these boobs voted for, the hope is that the patient will be dead before any money has to be spent on testing. But these folks just don’t get that. RIGHT, because they’re stuck on stupid!

More government involvement in anything is never a good idea and is the last thing that this country needs at this particular time despite what all these less than clever voters who continue to insist on voting for empty headed Democrats may think. Throwing "T"rillions of dollars at any perceived problem is not going to fix it. If that was the case there would be no way that we’d ever have any problems arise. I mean just how many billions of dollars has the government blown on mythical problems, or on problems that if left alone would usually fix themselves. I would love to ask these mental midgets who were so enthusiastic when going into the voting booth to pull the lever for their favorite, pathetic Democrat of choice, at what point is it that we may reach where we’re finally paying too much in taxes, 30%, 40%, 50% of our income, what’s too much? In a country where 40 percent of the population doesn’t pay one cent in federal income tax, why would anyone who doesn’t pay taxes care in the least about how much any of the rest of us actually do pay? Especially, when these reliable Democrat voters have been promised by those same scumbag Democrats that they’ll never be asked to pony up to the tax man while asking for nothing more in return than their vote when needed.

Barry "Almighty" and his fellow Democrats who all these morons were so eager to vote for, do their best to create and to perpetuate an environment consisting of nothing more than outrageous fear mongering forced on an unsuspecting public through their skillful use of lies and deceit. They have been working overtime to create just the scenario in which we now find ourselves by exhausting ever effort possible on talking down the economy at every opportunity, effectively creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. You see, these people are on a mission, that mission being the utter and complete destruction of this country by creating, even expediting an economic catastrophe in this country. Democrats like Pelosi, Reid, Durbin and of course Barry "Almighty", along with an impressive cast of sleazy characters are so eager to throw this country under the bus for no other reason than to increase their personal political power over the ignorant inhabitants of this great country. And these same flaming buttheads are not going to stop until the once powerful dollar isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. My God, why do people not see what is being perpetrated against them. The scary vision of what lies in wait for this country in the not too distant future does not, by any stretch of the imagination, represent a promise of "hope", but it sure does represent a "change." If the bailout plans presently being discussed are actually put into action there will never be light at the end of the tunnel. Or, if there does "appear" to be a light forming, what that light will most likely turn out to be is a speeding train that is out of control and headed right straight for you.

These simplistic imbeciles who continue swaggering around, just so proud of themselves will have no one to blame but themselves when they get to work some morning and find their place of employment has been forced to close its doors, having moved out of the country in the dark of night to where it can afford to do business and still make a little profit. I guess the bottom line of my little tirade here is that when you look at what is being perpetrated against this country, I simply do not understand how it is that anybody could be proud of themselves for voting for these out of control, spend crazy, power hungry and obviously corrupt Democrats. Barry "Almighty’s" incredible ego is matched only by his arrogance and he is putting this country in a dangerously precarious position on so many levels. If it were possible to embarrass the black population of this country, knowing how impossible that is having witnessed others they have elected, I would say his obvious lack of even the most rudimentary knowledge required for his soon to be position would be an embarrassment to his entire race. By the time Barry is finished with this country there ain’t gonna be much left for anybody, white, black, green or yellow, it just isn’t going to matter. We’re all gonna be toast. Compared to Barry, Jimmy Carter was a genius!

Ya know, when I was a kid, many years ago, I remember my dear old mom telling me that cheaters never prosper. I also remember seeing the kids in school who got busted for cheating on tests, it wasn’t pretty sight. There were strict punishments administered for cheating. But hey, no longer, cheating has become the tried and true method for the Democrats to put to good use in order to "win" close elections. And the thing that really gets me spun up is the fact that they continue to accuse the Republicans of cheating and stealing elections as their excuse and as their method of getting away with the crap. If memory serves, what’s being played out in Minnesota this year, was the same thing going on in Washington State a few years back. Democrats cheated their way to victory that time too, and they cheat every chance they get and at anytime they think they can get away with it.

Apparently this does not seem to upset too many people in this country. If I lived in Minnesota today, or had I lived in Washington State then, I’d have been in the streets screaming at the top of my lungs about how these guys continue to get away with outright election theft. Events such as this continue to provide more evidence exposing the uselessness of today’s news media. Once again they have failed the people who are supposed to be able to rely on them for unfiltered and unbiased information by instead assisting those who perpetuate these crimes against the people and by not exposing them for what they are. These self-professing defenders of democracy are just as guilty of fraudulent behavior as their buddies the Democrats, doing their best to aid in the march toward bigger, more expensive government, and to be completely honest here, toward a Socialist style of government. They have morphed into something that in all reality is nothing more than the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party, always at the ready to defend, distort or deny as necessary. They are plotting together to undermine our democracy through the manipulation of the required information the voting public is supposed to able to trust and depend on. Whenever there is any talk regarding election reform, the Democrats and their cronies in the media start up with the crock of poo about how it is somehow racist. Because rational thinking Americans want election results they can count on, without waiting for months, we would be disenfranchising people from voting if we’re asking them to identify themselves. That’s a bunch of crap and they know it. But you see, Democrat don’t want election reform because that would strip them of their ability to cheat.

The time has finally arrived for Israel to take it upon themselves the task of finally ridding the planet of the terrorist organization Hamas, to virtually eliminate it as a continuing threat to mid-east peace and as a daily threat to those living in Israel. These pathetic individuals deserve nothing more than to die, and in the most excruciatingly painful ways as possible. These pathetic pieces of dog squeeze will continue to pose a continuing threat to Israel and its people as long as they are permitted to exist. The mistakes made in the past of trying to appease these people must not be repeated yet again, the fight must be taken to them and continued without let up until they are beaten into submission with a total and completed victory achieved. Look, to anyone with an ounce of brainpower there is no doubt here who the bad guy is in this fight. And haven’t we had enough of these stupid, half hearted attempts at varying types of cease fires that are in all reality unenforceable, because there is never any pressure put to bear on the Palestinians to prevent them from renewing attacks. You cannot have a cease-fire when only one side is playing by the rules.

These enemies of peace must be driven into the sea with virtually no means of escape if necessary to make sure they get the point that they will not be allowed to continue with their attacks without knowing that there will be a swift and overwhelming retaliation. In this current ongoing conflict they must be told to surrender or die because this time around there will be no other option, no negotiated peace. They must be made to understand there will be no let up until their surrender is achieved. Peace will only come via defeat of one of these combatants not by letting these thugs off the hook after they’ve promised never to do it again.

Israel currently has the opportunity that it must now take full advantage of. Groups like Hamas must be shown that if they persist in their attacks the costs to be suffered by them will be swift and severe. They must be made to understand that it is simply not in their best interest, or worth their while, to continue their attacks on Israel. And it must be acknowledged by all that Israel has the right to defend herself by any and all means necessary as does any other country. This fight has been in the past and continues today as one forced upon Israel and it must now respond with whatever force necessary to obliterate the threat from those who apparently refuse to live in peace amongst its neighbors.

At the outset of this particular presidency there was what could have also been called hope, a hope for change, for a return of a more patriotic sense than that witnessed during the previous administration. We were finally going to have some adult supervision in the Executive Branch, we were going to be able to reduce the size of government, reining in excessive social spending, limiting waste while encouraging the need for personal and fiscal responsibility in our society. We were also going to see a much needed increase in spending to rebuild a military that had been literally left in tatters, barely able to function as a result of excessive budget cuts spearheaded by Liberal Democrats. But alas, it was just not to be. While there were some limited successes, like managing to give a boost to the military, for the most part the party of the president, and at times even the president himself, seemed to forget why it was they had been sent to Washington. And only twelve short years after assuming control of Congress, six years of which the party also had control of the White House, they were bounced out on their rear ends. Because they were so determined to do what they thought they needed to do to hold on to their power instead of doing what was best for the country they lost the confidence of the people who had sent them there. They got stupid, real stupid and they got greedy trying to out spend the opposition party accomplishing nothing but making themselves to appear less discernible from those on the other side, a stupid tactic that in the end cost them the power they were so desperately trying to hold onto. The people felt betrayed and sadly, in the end, the result was nothing but more opportunities being lost, and for what. Conservative principles had been sacrificed at the alter of bigger, more expensive government and, as well, in the way we dealt with our enemies. Using tactics that were far less than what they should have been, coming in the form of less than the serious responses demanded by their intolerable behavior, our enemies were basically allowed to get away with murder with no fear of retaliation or repercussion. If we are to be completely honest with ourselves, then we will see that only through the utilization of true conservative principles will we ever be able to save what is left of this country. But, only if they are put into practice when dealing with issues here at home as well as those abroad. But the men we thought we could count on, the men who said they believed in what we believed in, for the most part, failed to advance those principles over the last eight years and so it is that we now find ourselves where we are.

So, come January 20, instead of marking the beginning of some new promising age consisting of some vague, new promise of hope for some unspecified kind of change, it will in fact be bringing to a close a period of time that held so much promise at the outset but sadly will be remembered as a time that turned out to be nothing more than one long chain of missteps and blunders. If I didn’t know any better I would think it was a purposeful attempt to destroy, or to at least undermine, the conservative movement in this country. Conservatives possessed a golden opportunity to inject some seriously needed positive change into this country. But unfortunately, the chance to make much of a positive impact in the direction this was best for this entire country, was left to slip by without so much as a weak attempt made to try to salvage it. It apparently was just much easier to throw up the white flag of surrender than to put up the necessary fight. Now, it is not hope that awaits us come January 20, far from it. The period we are now about to enter, with all of it’s false promise of it being a time of great hope and change, will in fact be a time where we are likely to see a drastic decrease in the liberties enjoyed by the American people. It will be a time where an increasing tax revenue will be collected and used not to cover the cost of the government to do business, but instead, used as a means of doing nothing more than to redistribute wealth. Our taxes will now be used to pay many in our society for doing nothing at the expense to those who work to keep our country going. Thus the circumstantial evidence seen and heard thus far gives every indication that there is a definite possibility that during the time ahead we will most likely experience an expansion of governmental scope and power unparalleled in recent times.

January 20 will undoubtedly come to represent the dark day in our history that will be remembered by future Americans as the day that marked the radical departure from democracy, and as the day their countrymen accepted Socialism as their governing system. It will mark the date that Americans joined with the Europeans in this failed theory of government responsible for so much misery, abject poverty and even death around the globe. The voters of today have doomed those in the future to a life of bondage and servitude to a government gone wild. This date will be the defining moment that marks the beginning of a dark time which directly resulted as a consequence of the American people making the conscious decision regarding their willingness to forfeit certain of their unalienable rights that were granted to them not by government but by God. A decision made by them for the sole purpose of permitting, even encouraging, their government to play a much larger role in their lives. They gladly put themselves in the position of allowing their government to dictate to them the proper behavior that they must now exhibit in order to be entitled to receive those very much sought after government benefits. Americans are now being told that we all need to be willing to make the required sacrifices so that society can be made to be fair and equitable for all. We will all become members of one large commune, we’ll be one big "happy" family, so to speak, because now we will be told that it takes a village, or in this case the government, for us to be happy. Personal responsibility has now been officially pronounced dead, our misfortunes are no longer the results of our own bad choices or decisions, they will now be someone else’s fault. The consequences are now to be paid by someone other than ourselves, so we are now free to commit any kind of act or suffer any misfortune and claim ignorance, making someone else responsible for our bad behavior, our own stupidity or our bad decisions.
