Political "change" as represented and enacted by today’s socialistic Liberal Democrats has come to be identified as the new way of describing the process by which they are able to expand the absolute power of government and to consolidate their control over it. It has become synonymous with a covert and clandestine form of unethical political deception of the people. Barry uses the premise of "change" to create an entire scenario which, in effect, brings about an environment of fear, where Democrats are willingly given a free hand to inflict serious and potentially irreversible policies that will severely damage this country. The skillful use of these empty promises of enacting positive change does nothing but mask their blatant attempts to bring about a climate where the American people become far too trusting. Because of this misplaced trust, we now have an environment created which is ripe for the allowing of the Democrats to implement their sinister plan to completely and to utterly transform our government into something that very soon none of us will be able to recognize. Their main goal is the expanding of both government’s size and scope and the bringing to it of nearly dictatorial powers over the population. Those of us not lucky enough to be a members of the elite ruling class will become the ones that bear the burden and are going to be the ones suffering under the crushing weight of the government that is to come all in the name of "change." 

The meaning of the much over used word "change" has been corrupted and bastardized to now mean anything that diminishes the freedoms currently still possessed by the American people. It has come to stand for a fundamental, as well as a total and very likely fatal, wholesale restructuring of our economy as well as a purposeful assault on so many of the basic freedoms bestowed on the people of this country not by government but by God. Let’s be honest with ourselves here, these are truly scary times, but not just because of the economic uncertainties that this country, and the World for that matter, are currently embroiled in. We now have one party who is essentially in complete control of all three branches of our government. What we are currently experiencing can only be seen as very much of a radical departure from what it was the Founding Father had in store for us.

 

Watching his little speech on Tuesday night, I found him to be anything but Reganesque. It would be hard for me to say that I’ve ever heard so much drivel spew out of the mouth of a president. It’s been at least as long since we had Clinton and Carter before him. But, even those two weren't even close to being on Barry’s level. Throughout the speech there was no instilling of confidence in the American people as being the ones, once unleashed by an over obtrusive government, that can, and will, get this struggling economy moving again. For him it’s the government, and only the government, that can, and will, get us out of the trouble we seem to be in. I thought when he said he wasn’t a fan of big government I was going to lose my dinner. All in all it was nothing more than just another pretty campaign speech. I was thinking after it was over, that somebody needs to tell this loser the campaign is over and now, having won the job, it’s time to start doing the job. His nonsense about expecting a tax increase on the top 2 percent of taxpayers to finance his leftwing agenda just doesn’t pass the smell test. The math just doesn’t add up, there aren’t enough of them, so I would expect that his "campaign promise" of saying 95 percent will not see their taxes go up not one dime, will soon have to be revised, shapely downward. Ya know, twenty years ago when we had 20 percent interest rates and double-digit unemployment the plan that fixed things didn’t include a massive government expansion with no way to pay for it, it was all about TAX CUTS!!! HELLO!

And his continuing to slander the banks had me throwing stuff at my television. Going on about how it was all because those mean old bankers forced all those loans on society’s pathetic morons who just didn’t know any better. Forcing them to buy houses those same mean old bankers knew, just knew, they were ill equipped to pay for. That he was actually able to get through that line with a straight face was the major accomplishment of the night. That he had the gonads to actually say it was even more amazing, because as anyone with even an ounce of intelligence should know by now, including Barry himself, that nasty little scenario was created by another little Democrat legislative gem called the Community Re-Investment Act. And the bonehead who dreamed that little nightmare up, and this should really come as no real surprise, was the Democrat fearless leader at the time, Jimmy "I’m a doofus" Carter, and then it was made even worse by "BJ" Clinton. If anyone was forced to do anything, it was the banks being forced to give society’s losers loans that no one really ever expected them to be able to actually pay back. Barry proclaimed that our day of reckoning has arrived. But during his rambling, campaign style speech I heard nothing that really demonstrated, short of increasing the size of government, that he any kind of realistic plan to remedy the situation. He droned on about how he thinks it appropriate for government to provide for Americans from cradle to grave. He contradicts himself saying that he wants to lighten the load of government currently on the backs of ordinary people, yet his stimulus package does just the opposite, except for those favorites who make up the Democrat voter base. And does he really think that raising taxes on the most productive Americans will somehow not have an adverse effect on economic growth? And to make the insane claim that he plans to cut the deficit, that very same deficit which he has just massively increased, I admit, did make me laugh. I had to laugh, it was that or cry. He says, "if we confront this crisis without also confronting the deficits that helped cause it, we risk sinking into anther crisis down the road." He goes on to promise to cut the yearly deficit in half by the end of his four-year term saying, "We cannot simply spend as we please and defer the consequences." HUH? Isn’t that what the stimulus bill does?

The many dangers that lie ahead stand zero chance of being stopped or even slowed by the Socialist policies Barry wishes to inflict upon this country. His highly touted "stimulus" plan does nothing but put on the fast track the complete collapse of our economy. It does nothing but slap some additional grease on an already very slippery slope. Since Election Day the market has plummeted 2000 points, if I didn’t know better I’d say it was all part of his master plan. Barry is nothing more than a speed bump on the road back to economic health.

 

When we look at the inner workings of these groups we can take note of where many of their members stand on some of today’s truly "hot button" issues. You would assume that after hearing their views, there would be a natural predisposition for these folks to vote for political candidates who more closely share their views. And it would also appear, at least from the outside looking in, that many of those views held would make many in these groups natural supporters of a more conservative philosophy because of either cultural and/or religious reasons. However, the majority of the individuals in these specific voter groups maintain their liberal voting ways because they continue to allow themselves to be repeatedly conned by the supposed "leaders" of their respective communities. These are the very same "leaders" who continue to peddle a very destructive sense of entitlement to the supposed "downtrodden" members of our society. These peddlers of hate and divisiveness continue to sell their wares to the willing, always stressing that there is something higher that is to be achieved that trumps those very same reasons that, one would think, have these people voting in larger numbers for far more conservative candidates. It would appear that that something continues to be, the maintaining of the ability to continue to receive that highly sought after government handout that comes either in the form of a check or some other government subsidized freebie. Sadly, until these unique voting groups in our society stop listening to the blather coming from those interested only in increasing their own stature, if you can call it that, and instead place a higher emphasis as well as place higher importance on things like self-sufficiency and personal responsibility with less on ways of ensuring receipt of that all important monthly government handout (check) not much is going to change for them. They seem to care very little about the fact that their "free money" comes out of someone else’s pocket. They continue to play the victim, but then I guess old habits die hard. After years of allowing themselves to be manipulated they’ve become nothing more than indentured servants to one political party, and the sad thing is either they don’t realize it or they don’t care as long as they continue to get their taxpayer funded handouts. They’re unwilling to see that it’s all about priorities, and until they change theirs, and break their bonds of servitude and end voting the way they do, they will end up doing very little to improve their lot in life, because that’s the way those they now continue to vote for, want it. The choice is theirs, quite frankly. They can either continue to see more of their young men go off to prison, more of their young women go without husbands and millions of their children continue to possess no real sense of family, or, they can change. What they cannot do is to continue to blame me for their situation, because I have had nothing whatsoever to do with it.

I do, however, continue to find it more than just a little ironic that a substantial number of these people who take such great pride in their going to church every Sunday are the very same ones standing in line on election day voting for folks who, if they are not atheists, are, in fact, working overtime to eradicate religion from every aspect of public life. And just why is that? Is it because on Monday they’re all fighting for head of the line privileges at the Welfare Office waiting for their free money? They seem to take great pleasure in shoving their holier than thou attitude in everyone’s face, but yet, they’re the very first ones with their hands out at every possible opportunity. It’s freakin amazing! And, God forbid, if they’re asked to perform an hour or so of some menial work during the week in some lame attempt to "earn" what they’ve been "given". You’d think they’d been asked to take the life of their first born. The one thing that portrays the starkest contrast between certain groups in our society is how in some it has become to be accepted behavior and even commonplace for women with no visible means of support to keep having babies. If we call this what it is, a way of increasing your government handout, we’re called cruel, mean, not understanding of others, or, the old reliable r-word, racist. Because we find the behavior unacceptable, we’re called racist or worse. Because we see it for what it is, behavior that maintains an obviously vicious and self-perpetuating cycle leading people absolutely nowhere but to a dead end, we’re the ones who are wrong. If the same amount of energy spent on mass-producing offspring were directed in a more productive manner think about the possibilities.

However, Barry "O" remains focused like a laser beam in the execution of his whole game plan to foster an exaggerated sense of victim-hood among these very same people. That’s what this whole "stimulus" fiasco was about. These people are all to be made to consider themselves as victims, not of their own bad behavior or stupid decisions, but because of the evil banks, or corporations and anybody else Barry "O" deems as being guilty, except of course the government. Because it’s the government that’s going to be there for YOU, to ensure you have all that you NEED. It’s the government that’s going to take from those who have chosen to work hard and make something of themselves, those so-called evil achievers, and make sure they pay their "fair share" to the losers of life’s lottery, those that chose to make babies, sell drugs, or worse, instead of making something of themselves because, gosh darn it, it’s just too hard.

WELCOME TO AMERICA WHERE, IT WOULD APPEAR THAT FOR AN INCREASING NUMBER OF PEOPLE, EVERYDAY IS STUPID DAY!!

I’ve been holding off from commenting on this before now because I didn’t want to appear as being just another voice jumping on the bash Sarah bandwagon that has been going on since the election. But the time has come when I feel I’ve got to say something. I’m not sure how many of you all caught the recent interview that Sarah and Bristol Palin gave on Greta’s show on Fox, but it was something that I could bring myself to watch only a brief portion of. I think I managed to make it through roughly 15-20 minutes, if that, before I was changing the channel. While I could not bring myself to personally watch it all I have spoke to some friends who did and also, because I was interested in their perspective, have listened to comments made by some in Talk Radio as they played clips from the interview. After listening to all, it would seem that I tend to agree with the majority of the voices in thinking that the whole thing should not have been done and at this point it should be considered to have been a rather stupid mistake.

I think one of the most striking comments made by a rather immature sounding Bristol during the interview, was when she said that while she was "glad" to be a mom, she would have preferred that it had not happened for at least another 10 years. Saying it would have been better had it happened after she had had time to complete her education and quite possibly to get a job. DUH!! And I thought to myself just how stupid is this girl? The sad fact of the matter here should be obvious. The choice of whether she was to become a mom now or in 10 years was ENTIRELY in her control! She made a conscious decision and "chose" to sleep with her, still boyfriend and not husband. She chose to participate in the only natural act that can produce a child. I actually found myself being somewhat embarrassed for her.

I did not see the part of the interview where Sarah joined in, and I’ve only heard what was said from those whom I consider to be reliable sources. What I am being told was that throughout that part of the interview there was much downplaying of the abstinence approach as being an unrealistic approach to teens having sex and, really, no substantial mention of either their faith or of God. Thinking back, this is all more than just a little different than the persona presented to the voters during those heady days of the campaign. Which brings me back to the title of this post.

Lastly, these days I'm finding myself, more and more, to be continually disappointed with the Fox News Channel and find that I am watching that network much less than I did at one time. They seem to have strayed and they see m to be straying even farther from what it was that brought me to them in the first place. With the months and months of where the topics of continuous discussion moved from the missing Natalie Holloway to the death of Anna Nicole Smith this "news" network has now morphed into more of a "National Enquirer" type of network. Now, with the main topic of discussion being that welfare bimbo in California who now has 14 kids under the age of 7, or it is 8, I forget, Fox is rapidly loosing its most important asset, its credibility as well as any claim to being a responsible news organization. There are more important things that we should now be discussing, that as conservatives, we need to be discussing. We now have a Socialist sitting in the Oval Office who is determined in "leading" this country down into a financial sewer. His goal is to rid this country of capitalism and force a socialistic form of government down our throats. Fox should be a place where we can go in search of the truth about what it is that’s going on in this country because there is no other place where we can go to find it.

Step 2 – Create a means to invent the proper scenario, by which it will be possible to create and then take advantage of an opportunity which will allow the implementation of a plan that will allow the majority party to greatly expand the size and scope of government and effectively, their overall power as well. Disguise this plan as nothing more than an economic "stimulus" plan while at the same time creating the requisite fear in the American public that something "must be done. At the same time, create the perception that the above mentioned "stimulus" plan is the only way to possibly save the country from a catastrophic economic ruin. Dismiss as nonsense any criticism of the proposal from those calling it nothing more than an attempt of massive government expansion and as simply nothing more than right wing rhetoric by those who think only about tax cuts and who have no plan of their own. Stress the calamity that awaits us without taking any action, echo the sentiment that without action the country is headed for yet another depression and is in the worst economic times in recent history.

Step 3 – Once the candidate is elected, the top priority becomes on of consolidating the Democrat grip on all information available for public consumption. Foster new media relationships while strengthening old ones. Use access to the president as a means to effectively bribe members of the press and strengthen alliances. Steer them toward the "proper" perspectives regarding the truly important issues. The main goal should be to silence, or to at least severely limit, any and all voices of opposition and potential dissent. It is absolutely imperative that the "only" information to be disseminated and allowed to reach the public be properly cleared through the president or his top advisors. At the same time media surrogates must promote all news in such a manner that it has a strong pro big government slant and the general public must be completely unable to gain access to any information that is derogatory of the future president, Congress or any official policy. Develop new plan to effectively reinstate the so-called "Fairness Doctrine." The public cannot be permitted to recognize what it is that is being perpetrated against them. It must all be seen as nothing more than a harmless attempt at making the airwaves more equal for all Americans while at the same time stifling all conversation of espousing any opposing views. We cannot afford to have more than one point of view presented where the public has the opportunity it disagree with stated government policy.

 Step 4 – Initiate a new and more strict tax structure focusing efforts on those that effectively fall in the category of small business owners. With these individuals being forced with the likelihood of facing an increased tax liability they will have second thoughts regarding the hiring of additional employees. The net effect will be a higher number of citizens being forced into government dependency allowing additional control over those that come to rely on the government for their subsistence. With the net result being an increase in the Democrat voter base. Another objective of increased taxes is that it will permit an increased degree of flexibility in that it will allow more money to be directed toward social spending and less so on the actual covering of government expenses all under the guise of making society fair and equitable.

 Step 5 – Maximize efforts to gain greater control over teaching standards and all school syllabuses currently in use throughout our public school system, K-12. Entice as large as possible a population of college professors to continue their anti-capitalism teaching methods as much as possible stressing its inequities and systemic shortcomings and how it is uniquely unfair. Also encourage them to stress the inherent fairness and equality of a more socialistic way of government, where the disparity between the haves and the have not are narrowed, where life is more carefree with so many of the pressures of daily life are removed and performed by the government. Invite professors who comply with directive to the White House to further encourage others to "join the team." Portray as advantageous the allowing of the government assuming the role of healthcare provider, retirement fund provider, daycare provider all that will in the end allow greater freedoms for all Americans.

I simply do not understand the motivation, nor the rationale behind it, of such a large segment of the American population for whom apparently, freedom has become so tiresome. The need to be taken care of by the government from cradle to grave has risen to where it has now become that which seems to be desired by so many. The question begging for an answer has to be how and why have we, after being up until now a freedom loving people, suddenly come to the unlikely conclusion that the government can now be trusted to run our lives better than we can ourselves. The sanity, or lack of, that would lead so many people to the making of such a fundamentally skewed decision needs to be scrutinized if for no other reason than the need to figure out how it is that we got here. We must figure out a way to remedy what appears to be a growing consensus regarding the need for expanding the power of the government or run the risk of a further slide in the direction of France. As Americans we are about to enter virgin territory here as far as our choice about how it is we wish to be governed. It does represent a new direction just as it does "change", however, one must always be wary when embarking in a new direction where new and unfamiliar dangers may lie, just as one should be just as wary regarding the fact that all change is not necessarily good.

It would appear that a significant portion of our voting population has become convinced that, for whatever reason, our government is now the entity best to decide exactly which freedoms we are to be permitted to enjoy and which ones we are not. It would seem that it has also been decided that that same government has become the setter of limits placed on our society regardless of what is clearly dictated in and bestowed upon us by our Constitution. These people seem to have made a conscious decision, however wrongly, that it is now completely acceptable for the government to assume an increasing amount of control over areas that up to now were our private affairs. Areas that have up to this point been so far removed from the purview of the government as to be, in the past, considered none of the government’s business. So what’s changed?

A very large part of what it is that has brought about such a drastic change in the philosophy of many Americans is the fact that the national media in this country, television and print media alike, has effectively ceased performing the function it has provided for generations past. While, I think it can be argued, that the media has always had a leftward slant, today it has reached epidemic proportions to the point where it has become nothing more than an advocacy group for liberal Democrat policies. Policies that either severely limit or remove entirely, rights, privileges and freedoms that have been enjoyed, and yet taken for granted, by so many Americans for 200+ years. It has been endlessly documented how in the tank the media was for Barry "O", to the point where some on television got tingles running up their leg whenever they heard Barry speak. Now lets be honest, who in their right mind can take seriously any of the information provided that is presented by such a news media, about anything. And yet far too many people still do. And while the left has a monopoly, it could be argued even a strangle hold, on today’s mainstream news media, they’re still not happy. Now, they seem to be now on a mission to extinguish any and all voices of dissent. That dissent that persists in coming in the form of Talk Radio and Fox News must be squelched at all costs if the liberal Democrats are to succeed in keeping we the people completely blind to their true ambitions. Hence the renewed interest in such things as the Fairness Doctrine. Knowledge is power, but so is ignorance, especially in how, it is continued to be used by the political left in this country. The media has effectively ceased to perform the function in which a free society is supposed to be able to reliably depend on it as being the watchdog over the threats from a power hungry government. In that capacity, it has failed and continues to fail miserably. So, we must now come to rely completely on ourselves and ignore the drivel and tripe continually spewed by the nightly news anchors, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and anyone else who has crawled into bed with the liberal establishment of this country. Today’s media has become an integral part of a continuous program of propaganda, reeducation, and stigmatization of dissenters that is a necessary part of establishing and maintaining a contemporary liberal regime. We should constantly make ourselves aware of the perspectives applied and the biases inserted to any and all information that we receive from our mainstream media outlets. We must always consider that they have an ulterior motive and that they rarely if ever have our best interests at heart.

Now that this hypocritical bunch has ridden into town and is ready to start throwing money in all directions, they’re hoping we’ll just take what little is supposed to show up in our paychecks and shut up and not ask any questions about where all the rest of that money will be going. They’re hoping we won’t see the substantial amounts of money being given to those who were responsible from bringing them into town in the first place, essentially paying them back for allowing Barry into town. They’re hoping that we won’t really take the time to look past the handouts coming in the form of easy money and not see why or how it is that we are now in the fiscal predicament we find ourselves in the first place. They don’t want us to see the truth, that it is they who have been the cause of so much misery, so many homes lost, the life savings of so many lost and the pushing of our economy toward the brink of total collapse. They wish to buy our blissful ignorance, to ply us with this "free money" to gain our continued support and buy our silence. Because deep down we all know there’s no such thing as free money.

This "stimulus" bill that isn’t, is, as it was called by Nancy Pelosi, truly "historic and transformational." Its supporters, who say it is just what America needs, HAVEN’T EVEN READ IT but still voted FOR it! Where’s the transparency advocated by candidate Barry when the American people can be kept completely in the dark regarding what it is that’s about to shoved down their throats and no one on Barry’s team seems to object? Oh wait a minute, that was just a lie to get the less intelligent change seekers to vote for him, right? So we now find ourselves headed downhill in our economic 18-wheeler after the Democrats have cut the brake lines, so it’s full speed ahead. It may be a great ride for a very short time, then it’s WHAM, who turned out the lights? It seems to me that anyone with any amount of brains should be able to see through all the stupid rhetoric going on about how many jobs this thing is supposed to create. It doesn’t take any great understanding of economics to see that any jobs created by these supposed infrastructure-improving projects Barry is proposing are going to be of the short-term variety at best. I mean once a road is built it’s done and so is the job. You don’t just keep on building it indefinitely. It has a definite end point, contract met, job over, there’s no long-term benefit for those who did the building of it. I’ve never been a big fan of busy work or make-work types of projects. And it’s these kinds of jobs that are being advocated as the way of salvaging our economic power and it’s the kind of jobs that this worthless bill will create. What’s the point? What needs to be created are private economy, long term jobs that don’t end because some contract is completed. It’s just not that hard to understand.

What we truly have going on here trying to pass themselves off as the cavalry are, with the help of three turncoats wearing their black hats, a group of corrupt individuals doing their best to bring about something that our enemies have never been able to successfully accomplish. It is blatant and obvious attempt to destroy the very fabric of this nation that is the apparent goal of these politicians of questionable character in their quest for absolute political power. What’s happening here all in the name of "change" is the creation and the purposeful implementation of an economic apocalypse. The plan being put into action is not one even the most inept economist would design if the goal were to truly revive a struggling economy. But it "is" one that would be designed if the end goal were to destroy that very same economy, to push it past the point where any sort of real recovery would be impossible. That is what we are seeing take place here. This massively irresponsible $3 "T"rillion dollar spending catastrophe can only end one way, and that’s with the complete financial ruin of this country by implementing policies that will ultimately delay any sort of real recovery for decades if not longer.

These are truly frightening times, and I personally blame every moron who voted for this boob, Barry "O" because of some bizarre idea, and misplaced idealism regarding the mythical rhetoric of "change" and "hope". I heard some jackass Democrat yesterday, in the Senate I think, screaming that in November the people made Barry president because they wanted a new direction. Well, they sure got a new direction all right, and I’m sure it’s the direction many were hoping for, but is it the one a lot of the others were looking for? What’s on the verge of happening here is that the taxpaying portion of our population is about to be thrown under that proverbial bus with too few of our "leaders", these people who work for us, making much more than a token effort to prevent that from happening. There are two words I will never use together. The first word is president and the second is Obama.

And how are we Americans reacting to this blatant attempted theft of not only our economy, but of our futures as well? While some of us are finally beginning to see the light, far too many still support it. It would appear that even some of the boneheads that voted for this boob, may be seeing the light and thinking that maybe, just maybe, it might not have been such a good idea after all. But I’m afraid, very afraid, that it may all be just a too little and a lot too late, way too late. We broke it by electing Barry, now we’ve bought it, and we’re stuck with it. To say that I am bitterly disappointed in how the American people allowed themselves to be so badly hoodwinked by such an obvious fraud, would be somewhat of a gross understatement. They have placed the future of their kids, of my kid, into the hands of a man who wishes to literally destroy this country and to enslave future generations to his idea of an all-powerful government. A substantial number of Americans still wander around exhibiting zombie like behavior whenever they hear Barry "O" talk about how much he wants the government to do "for" us, never thinking about the fact the nothing in life is ever free. Somewhere along the way, in the not too distant future, payment in some form is going to be demanded for all those nifty new services rendered. Americans are so completely clueless regarding what it is that Barry and the Democrats are trying to force on them. They simply do not realize, or worse they choose to ignore, what’s really going on here. If they did they would me massing in the streets to put a stop to it, but the last time I checked I didn’t see a soul complaining, did you? The sad truth of the matter is that America is slowly being strangled into a state of unconsciousness and no one but a select few seem to willing to put up any kind of a fight. I find my self lamenting what appears to be the demise of the "American" spirit and "American" values both of which today have been replaced by a desire to obtain all of the necessities of life by way of Barry’s government handouts and many Americans seem to be very content to do so. Americans today seem to be driven by some sick sense of entitlement and seem to be under the mistaken idea that the giver of their rights and freedoms is not God, but the government. As long as that remains the mentality, we’ll never work up the courage necessary to reclaim our country from our government in the name of the people. The damage about to be done to this country is mindboggling and will not be something that will be easily reversed, if at all, once Barry has put the finishing touches on his master plan. In all likelihood, we may NOT be able to turn back the clock. Have we gotten to the point where we take our freedoms so for granted that we no longer feel the need to fight to keep them?

The election of Barry may be the first indication that the country may just have passed the tipping point where we now have more people on the government dole than we have actually out there working and paying taxes to pay for them. The election of November 4, 2008 may just have represented a seismic shift in how it is Americans not only view themselves but their country and what it has come to represent to so many all across the globe. It would also reveal how today’s voters comprehend the American dynamic of self sufficiency, personal responsibility and accountability that makes this country so truly unique. For far too many have replaced these truly American attributes with those of a more European flavor with many of us demonstrating a willingness, almost eagerness, to take government handouts to the point where there is no longer a fear of being stigmatized because everybody does it. This "it takes a village" mentality is becoming much more pervasive and has replaced what used to be known as the good, old fashioned, all American work ethic. At one time, not all that long ago, it was commonplace where if you worked hard you were able to reap the benefits from that very same hard work, the harder you worked, the more you had. It was a time where people were proud of their accomplishments because you made it on your own, you owed no one for your success. Not so today, where so many measure their success by how much they can con from the government either through some sort of unfair preferences, quotas or some other program where it’s the government that decides who it is that gets the advantages for the least amount of work. These are the people who, quite literally, have things handed to them because they are now considered to be part of some disadvantaged group and more deserving than those who are not. Today the name of the game is to be a member of some category of the population that increases the odds of being a recipient of some sort of preferential treatment. Because for many Americans today, the name of the game is to get as much as you can for the least amount of work. Which is sad, but still, very true.

What should be obvious to all who are paying any amount of attention is the fact that what’s really going on here amounts to nothing more than a blatant attempt at a power grab, a bloodless coup if you will. Barry "O" is attempting nothing less than to radically drag this country away from democracy toward the ultimate Democrat goal of a dictatorial system consisting of one party rule. And I would very much like to hope that the three turncoat Republicans who have assisted the Democrats in this endeavor spend an eternity of sleepless nights, fore they have done nothing less than to basically sell future generations into bondage and complete servitude to an all encompassing government. This is a determined attempt by Barry to bastardize our democratic government, to corrupt it, to morph it into some massively, monolithic and self- perpetuating entity that resembles very little that which intended by its designers. And where might be all the voices be that should be coming from those crying out in opposition? Do you hear them, I sure as hell as DON’T!

Just when you thought we had enough to worry about was this ballooning stimulus package of Barry "O’s" and the Democrats, along comes just one more nightmare scenario courtesy of the Democrats. It’s a little thing called the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child, which, to be quite honest, I had never heard of until I stumbled across an article on the web about Senator Boxer (D)imwit, regarding her urging of a quick hand over of U.S. power to UN. I knew it couldn’t be good if it involved Ms.Boxer and the UN so I asked myself what the heck it might be all about so I read on to find out just how bad it is. Well, as you might expect, it ain’t good. It seems that this little nightmare of an idea, is in fact something that those against it say could very well be used as one more way to destroy our American sovereignty by imposing international rulings on American law. And if Ms. Boxer gets her way it may very well reach the floor of the Senate in less than 2 months. And since we know that Barry "O" is pretty much in favor of al things UN, what do you think his position may be on this little jewel?

Sen. Boxer (D-CA) is looking at a 60-day timeframe to allow the State Department to complete its review so that the Senate can move quickly move toward ratification of the UNCRC, as it is so harmlessly referred to as. It was during the confirmation hearing for Ambassador-designate Susan Rice held on January 15, 2009, that Ms. Boxer told Rice the UNCRC would protect "the most vulnerable people of society." Such a plan is just another effort by the Democrats now in charge to continue their efforts to turn this country into just another Third World Nation. Those who are against this whole idea disagree that it does, or will do any of what Ms Boxer claims. You know it’s really quite amazing that the only time Democrats favor our Constitution is when they can twist it to their bidding for them. The example being that under the Supremacy Clause (Article VI) of the U.S. Constitution, ratified treaties preempt state law. And since virtually all laws in the U.S. regarding children are state laws, this treaty would negate nearly 100% of existing American family law. Since all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the Constitution of laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding. Does this make sense to anyone? And what’s worse it would grant the government authority to override parental decisions by applying even to good parents a standard now only used against those convicted of abuse or neglect. Does everybody see where this is headed? Where do we think old Hillary Clinton, our illustrious Secretary of State, may stand on this issue with her, "it takes a village" mentality?

And like every other treaty where the UN has had an opportunity to play a part, despite the fact that the treaty has been ratified by 193 of the world's governments, with United States and Somalia not signing on, about 218 million children still suffer the worst forms of child labor. And, and 250,000 to 300,000 have been forced into military service in numerous countries. So I’d say this thing doesn’t seem to be all that it’s cracked up to be and I also find myself wondering just what those other 193 countries aren’t doing that they’re supposed to be doing. If the Senate does confirm this thing we all know that it will do so under the guise of doing it for the "children" and use that tired warn out cliché, how can we not take care of them. This is just one more thing, like the stimulus plan currently about to pass, that will do nothing that its supporters claim that it will do. What it will in fact do is to substantially undermine the authority of parents to exercise vitally important responsibilities toward their children if these responsibilities are determined to infringe on the child's "right" to autonomy and self-expression as defined by a panel of "experts" appointed by that pillar of dysfunction, THE United Nations. What this Convention would in fact do would be to allow the United Nation to redefine Family Law in America. It would also give children the "right" to disregard parental authority. Although several of the treaty's provisions offer generally positive, non-offensive platitudes, a substantial portion of this charter undermines parental rights.

"The U.N. CONVENTION would: (1) transfer parental rights and responsibilities to the state. (2) undermine the family by vesting children with various fundamental rights which advance notions of the child's autonomy and freedom from parental guidance; and (3) establish bureaucracies and institutions of a national and international nature designed to promote "the ideas proclaimed in the Charter of the United Nations and to investigate and prosecute parents who violate their children's rights. The state will determine the child's "best interest". All children must be immediately registered after birth. Severe limitations will be placed on the parent's right to direct and train their children. Section 1 of Article 13 declares a child's right to "seek, receive and impart information and ideas of all kinds, regardless of frontiers, either orally, in writing or in print, in the form of art, or through any other media of the child's choice." Article 14 says children have a legal right to object to all religious training. Alternatively, children may assert their right against parental objections to participate in other religions. Parents could be prevented from forbidding their child to associate with people deemed to be objectionable companions, i.e. gangs, cults, racist organizations, etc. Article 18 says the state must assist parents in the raising of children. It calls on the State to co-parent by rendering "appropriate assistance to parents and legal guardians in the performance of their child-rearing responsibilities and shall ensure the development of institutions, facilities and services for the care of children", i.e. Parent training, Family Resource Centers, etc. Corporal punishment is prohibited. Article 43 says international experts will parent our children."

Now I have to wonder if all those morons with kids that voted for Barry "O" were thinking that something like this was going to happen? Did they even think to look that far ahead? And who are they going to blame if and when it all becomes reality, George W. Bush? I wish I could laugh at how stupid they were, but somehow it’s just not funny. I’m too scared to laugh.

His "presidential" behavior amounts to nothing more juvenile name calling, from blaming "cable chatter" for bringing the contents of this bill to the attention of the American people, to still blaming Bush for everything. Instead of sucking it up and responsibly dealing with the problems at hand, he resorts to such childish tactics. He does that because doing so is just so much easier than actually taking the bull by the horns, getting down to business, rolling up his sleeves and working to bring about a more realistic way to actually strengthen our economy. Instead, he is now in the position where, after delegating to Nancy and Harry the writing of this monstrosity disguised as a stimulus for the economy, he is now willing to expend his political capital to get it shoved through Congress as rapidly as possible. Rapidly because it "must" be passed before anymore of the American people are warned about its contents and finally understand all of the wasteful and expensive crap that’s in it. Each passing day brings us an increase in pitch regarding the rhetoric about how urgently this bill is needed and how it "must" be passed and passed now. Barry says the consequences of delay will simply be catastrophic. I’m beginning to hear just a bit more of a sense of panic in his voice with each passing day, as more and more information about what is actually in this abomination comes to light and where now more and more taxpayers are beginning to ask questions about it. If recent polls are accurate, it would seem that more and more people are coming to realize that this is a case where the cure is more deadly than the disease.

Barry and the Democrats have the votes to shove this thing through Congress all by their little lonesomes, so why all of the cry baby nonsense that they can’t, that the mean old Republicans are trying to stymie their attempts at rescuing our economy? If he truly were trying to at least appear presidential as well as truly caring about the plight of those suffering in the present economy, he would have leaned just a little on his fellow Democrats to create a more viable stimulus bill. Had he chose to do that, the discussions going on today about this bill, just might be a tad bit different. Instead, he chooses to support a bill that will spend a trillion dollars on every pent up liberal, spending frustration from the last 40 years and has chosen to throw his weight behind this massive spending program where only 10% of the total expenditure will actually go toward "stimulating" the economy. And it would appear that he has managed to buy the support of three traitorous Republicans with the names Specter, Collins and Snow, in his efforts to get it passed. One must wonder about exactly what the purchase price was to gain the support from these three usual suspects, these betrayers of their own country.

Barry’s rhetoric regarding "change and "hope" has now been revealed for what it really was all along, as nothing more than the same old Washington way of doing business by pretty much the same cast of characters all sporting new titles. He continues to rely heavily on the same tried and true Liberal Democrat tactic of blatant fear mongering in his attempt to get this calamity of a bill to be accepted by more of the American people and these three losers are aiding and abetting him in his efforts. Even the Congressional Budget Office has said that this thing will come no where near in doing what Barry so ardently and confidently claims that it "will" do. Barry says it will be a catastrophe if this bill is not passed, but what’s going to be the true catastrophe is if this bill actually does become law. It will pave the way for this country to end its capitalist heritage, becoming nothing more than just another example of failed European Socialism, wrecking America and turning into just another third rate country. Well, that is "change" and the type of change that many of us knew was coming. The questions is, now what?

Please bear with me while I slip into one of my more philosophical moods. All this bailout nonsense kind of got me thinking about how it was that I was always taught to approach this life. We all get to where we end up in this life by way all of the choices and decisions we make while in route to that final day when we leave this Earth for what we all hope is a better place. This particular place that I am at in my life is the direct result, a cumulative kind of thing I suppose, that was arrived at by every single choice and decision, good or bad, that I have made on my way here. Good or bad I have no one to blame but myself for what I have managed to make, or not make of this life, this brief chance given to me by God, up to this point. Now Barry would have me believe that someone made me make the bad choices that I have made along the way, that I was not provided with sufficient options or opportunities. The same is true for anyone who may be reading, or has read, this particular little post. Now if any of you all, say, have a better job that pays you more money than my job pays me why should I consider myself to have been taken advantage of, in some warped way, by you. It’s not your fault that you may have been just a bit better than I in your decision making process. Maybe your choice was to go to college while it was my decision to go into the military. While I don’t regret that decision I shouldn’t expect to become a millionaire because of it. We each possess our own reasons for making the choices and decisions that we ultimately make and we should each have the courage to live with them and not try to make excuses because of some petty jealously when the results are of our own making.

I guess the main problem that I have with the type of liberal garbage being pushed in our society today is the fact that this whole rationale has been tipped on its head. Whenever you hear Barry speak it always comes down to the only reason that I may find myself in a less than desirable position is because of someone having been unfair to me. Not that maybe, just maybe, it’s my own fault. Bad decisions lead to bad consequences or bad outcomes, fairness never really ever enters into it. We all design our own destiny, we are the architects of what our future holds, and like that old saying goes, when life hands you lemons, you make lemonade, you don’t cry and feel sorry for yourself. What the heck does that accomplish and how does it improve your situation or your lot in life. I don’t have much tolerance for whiners never really have, even before I went into the military. Although that decision most likely had an effect on how even less I can tolerate them now that I’ve retired and rejoined the civilian populace. Barry wants us all to resort to being nothing more than perpetual whiners, going around crying, poor me, poor me, life has been so unfair to me. That’s a bunch of dog squeeze and deep down we all know it, but some of us will play the part to the hilt if we think Barry will give us something for nothing in return. We are all blessed to live in a country where you can be absolutely anything you want to be. Your drive and determination can take you anywhere you want to go. But also just the opposite is true. Do nothing for yourself, be content to do the absolute least you can, have your handout for Barry’s government checks, but then don’t cry to me when you get to the end of this life about how unfair life was to you . I’m not hearin it, nope I’m just not. Say no to Barry, start making good decisions and you can turn your own life around and will owe nothing to anyone but yourself. By doing that you will have effectively spit in Barry’s eye and told him you don’t "need" him, thank you very much, you are very capable of taking care of yourself!

It would appear that Barry "O", the candidate who was going to have the most ethical administration in history, just might have established for himself somewhat of a disturbing little trend. He seems to have developed a somewhat questionable preference for picking individuals for his team who don’t like to pay their taxes. What we have developing here is quite a trail of unpaid taxes by those Barry "O" continues to nominate for important Cabinet positions. Just what is it about these obviously arrogant Democrat elitists that has them thinking they're not required to pay taxes. I guess according to Slow Joe Biden’s way of thinking this is patently unpatriotic. But then we all know that Democrats never have exactly been known for their patriotism in the first place, whether it refers to paying taxes or anything else. Why is it when these Democrats fail to pay taxes, or as Daschle did in neglecting to report roughly $250,000 of income, they’re permitted to use ignorance of the law as their only excuse? As a child I was always told that ignorance is no excuse, how things "change." The continuing revelations of these high profile Democrats who can’t seem to do what the rest of us are expected to do, no what we’re forced to do under penalty of law, really isn’t all that surprising. The excellent point has been made that the main reason Democrats don’t mind raising taxes on us lowly masses is because they have no intention of paying them themselves. Taxes are just for us poor, unwashed masses to pay, not for the Democrat elitists to have to pay. I mean really, here we are with the most dreaded day of the year, dreaded by those of us who actually do pay our taxes, April 15, rapidly approaching, and these rich fat cat Democrats are successfully avoiding paying their fair share. The punishment for me doing the same thing as these corrupt individuals would be ruining fines and quite possibly some prison time. Hey Barry, where’s the change?

Barry’s statements about his intentions of having the most ethical administration in history now appear in hindsight to be pretty hypocritical, even laughable. And our buddy Barry "O" was also going to change the way business is done in Washington. I must just not be seeing it. The big question that remains is, was he just being naïve, stupid or just plain dishonest? Was it all nothing but a campaign promise to get the saps among us to vote for him? To say the least, he has already missed the mark rather badly and he hasn’t even been "President" for a month. Not only did his buddy Tom Daschle NOT pay his taxes, again until he was tagged to join the Barry "O" Team, he was also performing the basic function of one of those nasty lobbyists who made over $5 million dollars in two years busying himself speaking to whoever would grease his palm. He was busy traveling around advocating the very policies that would fall under the purview of the agency he was selected to head, if in fact he had stuck around long enough to get confirmed. The really sad thing here is had Daschle never been nominated for a high level position those taxes would have remained unpaid. Boy, I bet he’s kicking himself in the butt now, after he was pretty much forced to pull his name from nomination. Atta boy Tom, damn the bad luck! This clown owned more in taxes than most us middle class Americans make in a year, what a guy! How dare we ignorant common folk have the audacity to question the character of these men whose only reason for paying their taxes owed is because they’re being asked to come on board Barry’s little socialist express. By the way, Barry had said he wouldn’t bring anyone into his administration to perform in any area where he might have at one time been involved as a lobbyist. But hey, that was then this is now. Or was that just another empty campaign promise?

In spite of what Barry has said, and continues to say, we now have firmly holding the reins of power quite possibly the most corrupt, the most dishonest, the most unethical and the power hungry cadre of individuals we have seen in some time. This group seems to be under the mistaken impression that they can do absolutely anything they want, all with complete immunity. We currently have the Three Democrat Stooges of tax evasion Rangel, Geithner and Daschle. What this puts out there for all to see is that we are slowly making the move toward becoming less a nation of the rule of law and more a nation of the rule of men. And it continues to happen right in front of us and yet, at least at the present time, no one seems to notice, or if they do they certainly don’t care. In the words of Tom Daschle himself, " Make no mistake, tax cheaters cheat us all and the IRS should enforce our laws to the letter." I agree with Tom, no one should be considered above the law. Here at this time in our history we now seem to have "the" land of free people, that has always been "the" land of free people marching headlong into our own version European Socialism, without anyone seeming to be the least bit willing to question the insanity of it all. To me that it is downright scary because this merry band of dysfunctional muggers disguised as liberals leading the way are the ones busy advocating a bigger and more powerful government. Barry loves to slam big business executives as being greedy and yet the government is allowed to take and take and still take some more from working class Americans and the small business owners in this country and yet there is never any mention of the government’s greed. What the heck is wrong with this picture?

This man who is now our president has very quickly revealed himself to be nothing more than a fraud and a liar. What we’re now seeing resembles very little the administration that was outlined by then candidate Barry as one that would uphold the highest standard of ethics. If what we are now witnessing is Barry "O"’s definition of change I just don’t see it. Nor, I guess, do I agree with his definition of ethical behavior. By bringing these hacks into his administration who possess severe ethical problems and who should be facing the same consequences resulting from their indiscretions as I would be, he is revealing the contempt in which we are all held by this man. He’s basically rubbing our faces in it. AND IT STINKS! Why should these individuals be allowed to escape the fines and potential prison terms that we the common folk would be subjected to?

The more this presidency goes on, the more apparent Barry’s inexperience will become. These screwed up Cabinet appointments, in the big scheme of things, are just small potatoes when put into the context of a wider problem I have with Barry. When compared to the wide range of World events currently going on that require American "Leadership", Barry is in over his head, way over his head.  He is going to need to be ready and able to think on his feet. He won’t have time to have the perfect speech written so that it can then be read it in front a teleprompter. His action, or lack of it, will have a huge ripple effect, for no other reason than the fact that there are already other current World players who are more than willing to step up and fill any void left behind by the lack of leadership from this country. And none of these other world players will have the best interests of Americans as their primary concern, as we should be able to expect our own president to have.

The single, most important reason why I could not bring myself to vote for Barry was basically the same reason I could not bring myself to vote for John Kerry Heinz in 2004. That reason being I just did not sense any real commitment from either of these men to keep America safe. I feared the Democrat weak methods of combating terrorism and their treatment of it as nothing more than a nuisance type of problem. And with the recent statements being made Barry, I’d say my concern was more than justified. Because, even more frightening than Barry’s statements regarding his "bailout/rescue" plan to "fix" our economy, are his remarks made in a recent Arab TV interview, which may betray his true agenda when it comes to how he plans to deal with the threats from extremist Muslim terrorists. It would appear that he may be just a bit more concerned about not offending those very same terrorists who could be, oh by the way, plotting their next attack against this country, than he is concerned about making sure this country remains safe. I’m sorry, but the sensibilities of these terrorist thugs are, personally speaking, the least of my worries, as they should also be the least of his. His primary responsibility is to the citizens of "this" country, not to those who are supporters of those who plotting how best to kill them! The statements he has made, expose a position held by Barry that should be cause for grave concern for all Americans, as they raise real doubts about just whose side in this struggle he is on and where his true commitment and sympathies with may ultimately lie. I think there should be genuine concern felt by every single American when it’s the policies of appeasement and endless negotiation that are being discussed as the primary methods of choice in dealing with these religious zealots who see us all as nothing more infidels who must either convert or die. The faith I had in President Bush’s determination to keep my family and me safe is just not there with Barry "O". With Barry it’s more of a feeling of impending doom, and I do not sense he possesses any of the same determination and conviction as that of Bush. His complete and utter ineptness in all matters of foreign policy, but especially in his proposed methods of dealing with this scum, is of Jimmy Carter proportions. The way he is planning to deal with these gutless cowards will expose this country to countless dangers the likes of which we have not previously been exposed to, even in the lead up to those tragic events that took place on 9/11/01.

Our new president has expressed his intention to engage the Middle East immediately and he has assigned as his new envoy to the region, former Senator and moron extraordinaire George Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was expected to arrive in Egypt recently for a visit that will also take him to Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia. One has to wonder what the true motives might be behind this trip and what new ways this country may now be made even more vulnerable. The level of trust that I have for Barry, as well as any man acting on his behalf is absolutely zero. He has shown himself to act in whatever way proves to be the most politically expedient manner for both himself and/or his fellow Democrats. As evidenced by Democrat Party leaders behavior since 9/11, it would appear that a little treasonous behavior amongst friends is just fine, after all, it’s just another means for them to achievie their most desired end, unlimited political power. And if there’s a little collateral damage along the way where a few million of us are required to die in their effort, so be it, we’re just the necessary sacrifice they’re always taking about. But there’s one thing for sure, if I was Israel right now I might be just a tad bit concerned about being thrown under the proverbial bus for the sake of Barry being able to earn some of his much sought after brownie points with the rag heads.

In that recent interview with the Saudi-owned, Dubai-based Al-Arabiya news channel, Barry uttered one of the single most stupid statements I think I’ve yet heard him say on this subject when he said, "My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy." Whoa, now wait just a minute there hoss. We’re not to be considered their enemy? What makes Barry think that is a statement that should even need to be said? What country has come to the aid of Muslims more than any other and what country has made the greatest sacrifice in the cause of bringing freedom to Muslims? The United States of America, that’s who! If after all that these Muslims can still think of us as their enemy, then screw ‘em. Send ‘em back to the Stone Age where they belong, and where they can happily go on killing themselves for the rest of freakin eternity. What he needs to be telling these ragheads is, is if they persist in the supporting of the terrorist activities of a select few who claim some warped allegiance to their religion, they will all face the same consequences. It is they who must prove that they are not OUR enemy.

Barry "O" went on to say the U.S. had made mistakes in the past but "that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there's no reason why we can't restore that." So what the heck exactly is Barry saying here, that he wants a return to a time when we had hostages being held in Iran for over 400+ days? Yeah, lets take a little trip with Mr. Peabody through the "Wayback Machine" and return to a time when we had a baffoon sitting in the White House who thought cowardly policies of appeasement would work to gain Americans held captive, by MUSLIMS, their freedom. Does he want to return to the limp-wristed approach to terrorism that was used so effectively by that wizard of foreign policy Jimmy Carter and again by the skirt chasing degenerate "Slick" Willie? Stop and think for just a minute where we were during the timeframe Barry is speaking about. Carter had pretty much forced our most reliable and stable ally in the Middle East, the Shah of Iran, into exile and then welcomed in with open arms the architect as well as the catalyst for what has turned out to be the very same bunch of Muslims extremists we are battling today. That same nut job who coined that wonderful little phrase, "The Great Satan", thanks Jimmy. Is that really the time he wants us to return too? What, is he crazy, or worse just stupid? Am I the only one who thinks this is nuts?

Wait there’s more! Barry has called for a new partnership with the Muslim world "based on mutual respect and mutual interest." He talked about growing up in Indonesia, the Muslim world's most populous nation, and noted that he has Muslim relatives. He neglected to say, however, that respect is one of those things that’s a two way street. It is also something that must be earned, and as long as these rag headed thugs are murdering innocents, sorry, but it’s going to be just a little difficult for me to treat these animals with any amount of respect. When they start respecting the lives of others, maybe then I’ll think about it. While I do not think all Muslims are terrorists, I do think a majority of Muslims quietly agree with the terrorist goal, if not their methods. I feel that if they wanted to rein these fanatics in they could, so it is then, in that respect that I hold the entire religion responsible for the lives lost and therefore not deserving of any respect. Zip, Zero, Zilch, None, Nadda. When I see some bonafide action actually taking place by leaders of this less than peaceful religion then and only then will they have earned any significant amount of respect and trust.

So, I guess the bottom line here is just how is it that Barry will lead us in this war on terror that he doesn’t even think exists. Will he lead us at all, might be the bigger question? He’s already made plans to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center from which some of those already released have made their way back to the battle field to kill more of our troops. That is simply not acceptable. He must decide whose lives are of a greater importance, and yes of greater value, those of the murderers of so many innocents or of the innocents themselves who have needlessly lost their lives. Right now he seems a bit confused.
