PROFESSOR PUPIL
We have now, officially, in this country a rogue president and a rogue political party in control of Congress responsible for the leadership of our country. Having chosen to now take it upon themselves to ignore the will of the people they have continually revealed themselves to be concerned with nothing more than the acquiring of more power for the government they now lead. And unfortunately for the people, what is now very close to becoming a reality, when eventually signed into law by that very same rogue president, will become nearly impossible, if not totally impossible to rid ourselves of in the future. During the whole process that has lead us up to this point, we continually heard certain politicians say that they could never accept what was in this bill, and yet it got passed. There has never been anything that even remotely resembles honest debate on this issue between our representatives and we the people, only one-sided discussions with them speaking at us not to us. It was, and is, because in their hearts, they cared less about what it was that we the people thought or felt and more about what it was that the Democrat Party and Barry were busy trying to accomplish. So, how did it pass? That’s quite simple really, it’s because when those supposed dissenters were speaking to us about this faux "reform", they were simply lying to us and doing so repeatedly because they had already been bought off. A perfectly pathetic example is Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, whose vote was purchased for a mere 300 million taxpayer dollars. Hey, what's a little bribery among friends, no harm no foul, right? Especially when the money going to the bribee doesn't really belong to the briber. So much for serving the will of the people of whom it was that elected her. Such actions only go to show that there truly is no honor among thieves.
I hear people enthusiastically speaking about how they are hoping for the bringing of some sanity to Congress come the 2010 election, and how they are energized about the fact that what is now the opposition party may in fact gain enough seats to control one or both Houses of Congress. Whether that happens or not it will be much too little and much too late, the damage will have already been done and impossible to reverse. All those who make up a large part of the idiotic voting public who were swooning and fainting and sopping up nonsensical phrases during the last presidential election have now put us in the very position of where we could lose everything. The future of our kids is looking pretty dark right now, to the point where they may very well have less freedom than did we their parents once enjoyed. Hell, I already feel as if I have less freedom than I did when I was younger. We have managed to do the unthinkable, but something that is at the same time I think something that our Founders, in their infinite wisdom, knew we would do eventually. We have signed over our individuality, our right to make important decisions about our lives to the government, and any future election, be it 2010 or 2012 may have very little effect on what these rogue politicians now in charge will have been able to accomplish by then.
And to show just how important an issue it is to these politicians, this massive expansion of governmental intrusion into our lives, many seem to be willing of offer themselves up as sacrifices to the cause. But then, I suppose they will only be sacrificed if the people remember their blatant and self-serving actions that have recently been put on display. The electorate, as we know, has a very short memory and in this case it seems to be a collective case of dementia that has effected a substantial portion of the voting population. Because what is being attempted here is nothing new, it is something that has been the collective wet dream of the party now in charge for decades, and now they can smell victory. They habitually lie about what this legislation will provide, hoping we will see it through rose colored glasses and not as what it truly is, the ultimate control of the government over "THE" single most important aspect of our and our loved ones lives!
What has been going on now for roughly one short year has been an incremental process in which sweeping changes are being instituted, in an attempt to forever alter, even reverse, the governing principles used successfully to advance this country over the course of the last 230+ years. The same principles that caused us to prosper, flourish and to provide much, not only to our own citizens, but to the citizens of the World and all while advancing the cause of freedom. We have over the years proven our commitment to freedom, putting our collective money where our mouth was and we have literally thousands of dead to show for our efforts. Brave men and women who demonstrated the true American spirit of freedom and paid the ultimate price so that someone else may have the same opportunity to live in freedom. But if these patently dishonest and unethical leaders are allowed to have their way, all that has been will be no more, and the people of this country will be made to suffer the consequences as will the rest of the World as well. And adding insult to injury, all those who have died for the cause of freedom will essentially have died in vain. What took place in the Senate last night may well turn out to prophetic regarding in what direction our Republic is now about to embark. Short of an uprising from the people I fear there is nothing that can stop what it is that is about to take place in our once great governing bodies that have now been reduced to nothing more than a collection of misfits and self-serving hypocrites who are only out for themselves and totally oblivious to the will of the people, people for whom they are supposed to working.
